Korres Magic Light Contouring Trio

Korres has been getting mighty fancy with their newer makeup launches, their new cheek butters is testimony to that. Now introducing the new Korres Magic Light Contouring Trio….see? Fancy!

Korres Magic Light Contouring Trio is a contouring trio with a light diffusing formula that sculpts, brightens, adds shape, dimension, glow, and a soft focus to skin resulting in a interplay between shadow and illumination.

Shades:

  • Mykonos
  • Santorini

Interesting but I’m stocked up tight with “pretty” powders at the moment.

Whatcha think?

The new Korres Cheek Butters as well as the Magic Light Contouring Trio are available now at Sephora.com

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Can I just say how sick I am of sephora’s new website?! Buggy as hell, hard to navigate, and why can’t I see the new products?? The stuff on there has been there for a long time now 🙁

    • the Muse

agreed 🙁 agreed! I don’t see any of the new products for Summer like the tokidoki palette…!

Its horrible! I mean since the change I haven’t ordered nearly as much as I used to. They seriously needa change/fix the site.

I agree. At first I was excited, it was something new…but now I can’t find what I’m looking for and it seems like they don’t actually have all the products listed for brands and such!?

And is it just me or you can’t search ANYTHING. It’s so frustrating. They should have put the site through QA/beta for a WAY longer time before launching it…yucky.

I was having trouble getting it to use my paypal card (ordering for a friend) so I had to make that the default card otherwise I couldn’t use it. It’s sort of OK if the site is buggy as hell but they NEED to have checkout running smoothly!!! Ugh.

CJ, you are spot on. Their new website bites hard. A word of CAUTION for everyone ordering off of the new Sephora website: I placed an order Thursday of last week. As I clicked submit, I kept getting an error telling me that the site did not recognize the information associated with my credit card and the transaction was denied. I then saw that for some reason, my old information was showing up in the checkout process. Old address, etc. This is odd because I have ordered 3 or 4 times since the new site stood up with no problems. Anyway, I had to go back into my profile and change everything again. After I did that, I was allowed to complete the purchase. HOWEVER, when I logged into my bank account, my card had been dinged for every time I hit the submit button while trying to figure out the problem. Even though the site was telling me the transaction was denied. I did get the order completed but I now have the same order charge on my account 4 times. Am still trying to straighten that out with Sephora. And BTW, e-mails to customer service are NOT acknowledged or acted on. Have to do everything by phone. Be very careful.

Wow that really sucks. I hope everything works out! I might just start shopping at Nordies and brand websites till sephora gets their crap together.

    • the Muse

yup! I couldn’t find it for ages! yeah, such a bloody PITA! it still feels like products are somehow messy!

These are really pretty and look like both might be nice for fair skin! (At least that’s how the photos come off. /shrug)

I just received Santorini today! Haven’t played with it enough yet to know if it’s right for my *extremely* pale skin, but the whole compact is absolutely beautiful. I’m kind of at that product-overload stage where packaging doesn’t grab me the way it used to (imagine that), but this is just soooo summery and attractive. The colours are a little off in the website photo IMO — the highlighting shade is a touch darker and more gold-champagne in person, and the middle shade, which I assumed would have some pink in it, is actually quite warm and not remotely pink on my skin. Still, they’re beautiful, soft colours with a nice, subtle sheen and good texture. Not crazy pigmented with one swipe, but buildable and smooth. Looks great for a simple eyeshadow look or swirled together as a bronzer. I didn’t see that there was another colour option when I ordered, and I may end up exchanging this because I have coolish undertones, but it would look GORGEOUS on warmer complexions! And anyway, I may just end up loving it upon second try and getting both. 😉

Wonder how bulky plying is, korres bronzed is actually my fab contour so 3 in 1 would be nice.

Wow ! looks gorgeous !! Are the colors made to be swirled and used together or should they be used separately ? I know we can do either, but what is it meant for ?
