Maybelline Exotic Escape Summer 2012

Here’s a little peek at the Maybelline Exotic Escape Summer 2012.

Let me know whatcha think!

This one includes some vibrant shades of the Maybelline Expert Wear Eyeshadows and eyeliners as well as Shine Sensational Lipsticks and one new blush. The coral shade on the shadow below kinda sorta looks like the one in the Too Faced Summer Palette 2012 if you’re looking for a similiar shade.

They should have added a few vibrant shades of blush to go along for the ride but sadly it looks like a dusky bronzey peachy rose shade.

I saw the Maybelline Exotic Escape Summer 2012 Collection at Harmons and CVS.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I think I’ll be snapping up a few of the eyeshadows, just hope the pigmentation is there. And a yellow shade of lipstick, count me in! Agree about the blush. Boring. Would have liked to see a bright, summery pop of color.

Yeah, that blush is bizarrely out of place on that display! Especially since it isn’t like Maybelline is color-shy or anything–the core collection has blushes much brighter than that. Strange.
I’m leaning in for the goldenrod/teal combo on the eyeshadow, though. May have to pick that one up if I see the display anywhere around here.

agreed caitlin! I purchased the coral one but I’m always disappointed with the craptastic formula on the expert wear duos!
