Tony Moly Ice Queen Crispy Green Tea Pack Review

Yes, it’s been confirmed, I purchased the Tony Moly Ice Queen Crispy Green Tea Pack because it looks like a little ice cream sundae. I’m that shallow about packaging, for shame!

But who can resist a facial mask shaped like a little ice cream sundae! Tell me, WHO?

Jump!

I generally like the Tony Moly Ice Queen Collection. You probably remember my review of the Snow White Sleeping Cream and Multi Play Cream which are on my HG (holy grail) list.

However, the packs (facial masks) aren’t all that fabulous. I tried two versions and didn’t like either one.

Tony Moly Ice Queen Crispy Green Tea Pack can get tucked in your fridge (if you want) so you can have a cool, refreshing treat to come home to at the end of the night. It doesn’t need to be stored in your fridge but I find it more pleasant applied cold.

The texture is kinda sorta gross. It’s a gel mask that feels like jell-o that was thrown into a blender. It’s kinda chunky and strange. You apply it on a clean, freshly washed face and leave it on for 10 to 20 minutes.

It’s supposed to sooth stressed out skin but any and all skin types can indulge. It’s infused with green tea and it’s supposed to hydrate skin.

Personally, I didn’t feel like it did much of anything at all. I find it a pain to wash off as the chunky bits just want to stick around on your face as you rinse and finally it leaves my skin a little tight after use.

Sadly, this one didn’t make the old HG list.

If you’re interested in checking out Tony Moly products (since they aren’t sold in the US) both YesStyle.com and Sasa.com carries this mask and a other products as well! Also imomoko.com recently started carrying the brand!

Hahahahahaha that texture is hilarious! What were they thinking? Oh well…I would have totally bought it for the packaging too 🙂 What can I say, I’m a fellow packaging h0r, as Musey likes to say.

Side note: Do any readers in Malaysia know where I can get ahold of Tony Moly products (especially their BB creams, which I know are supposed to be great)?

lol hapa ;-D us packaging h0rs need to stick together ;-D ask sue (paris), she prob knows. I THINK she hauled a few Tony Moly products…!

I agree with you. I had such a high expectation on this mask when I purchased it last year and it ended up disappointing me because I don’t feel there is much difference every time I use it.

Then again, it is a pain to wash off the chunk from your face with normal running pipe water. I have to use warm water to dissolve the chunks before washing them off. Best thing to do, apply it before shower and wash it off while you’re showering.

it doesn’t angel hehe…really did nothing ;-D I use a washcloth wet to smear them off, it’s a pain 🙁

i purchased this almost 2 years ago and feel the exact same way. loved the packaging so i HAD to have it but was disappointed with the contents. it takes forever to get those chunks off. i wanted to love it so much too.

SO. FRIGGING. KAWAII. I would buy the product, throw the green slime away, and just keep the package. 🙂

and that’s exactly what I did ;-D it now stores hand cream ;-D

Really?I had the opposite effects. Didn’t like the Snow White sleeping pack, as I didn’t like how it felt on my face…very greasy(I suppose coz Singapore’s humid). but I loved the Green Tea pack as it left my face alot brighter, smoother and hydrated!

For malaysians…try Sasa stores?Coz they sell it in the Sasa stores in Singapore, and its alittle cheaper than the Singapore Tony Moly stores. But if you get the chance, purchase them from Hong kong, alot cheaper!:)
