Bobbi Brown Shimmering Fragrance Oil Review

I love sparkle, shimmer, and glitter in all my beauty except my fragrance but the Bobbi Brown Shimmering Fragrance Oil released with the new Miami Summer 2012 Collection might just change my mind.

Scented with Bobbi’s popular Beach fragrance this little sparkling oil is a treat for legs and arms in the warmer weather.

I wasn’t sure I was going to like this as I’m the type of person that applies fragrance oils in my bathroom and proceeds to slip and fall on my butt because it makes the floor all slippery. If you read Musings daily you know my beef with Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush Double Mist.

I was also a little wary of the sparkle…I’m a self confessed lover of shimmer but I don’t really love it in my fragrances or on my body, etc…

But this isn’t bad at all. The sparkle factor is very refined and it gives just a touch of sheen in the right light. You can apply it on your arms and legs or on the traditional pulse points. If you want to be daring, a little touch in your hair is nice too!

The lightweight texture of the oil is hydrating and quite refreshingly without being terribly oily or greasy….! My drier skin was begging for more but the fragrance prevented me from going overboard.

This smells like Bobbi Brown Beach which really captures the element of Summer, the ocean, and a day at the beach completely. It has those sun tanned, aquatic notes that are reminiscent of a day spent out in the warm Summer sun.

A sparkling, hydrating fragrance mist for Summer? Yes, please. Where can I sign up?

Hi, love your site, just found it recently 🙂 I was thinking about buying this. How is the scent strength? Does it hang around or is it super light? I love BB Beach. Thx!

hey michelle nice to meet ya! Good throw on this and a nice linger…almost as strong as the EDT! I did three spritzs this morning and it’s still holding strong. It feels really hydrating too on my drier skin!

I am really loving this scent! I tried it when I purchased Nude Beach and Peach Sorbet and fell in love. I am a sucker for all things jasmine and this scent REALLY smells just like summer/the beach to me. I am going back for this–probably the EDT and not oil though (as gorgeous as it is)

I was holding off since I had a feeling you’d be reviewing this! 😉

I will be on my way to purchase over the weekend. Thanks!

I saw this on a Bobbi counter just after I’d bought the Mac Hey Sailor pink body oil!! Gutted, as I think I like this better (it smells divine). Oh well, a girl can never have too many body oils, right? right?!

My favorite parfum is light blue from dolce and gabbana. I just like the coolness and the fruity smell of that fragrance. I think its a brilliant summer season perfume for all the younger women. Its very sexy for men. 🙂 They like it.
