Chanel Levres Scintillantes Glossimer Calypso Review and Swatches

If you’re a fond fan of Chanel’s Glossimer formula you’ll be happy to know about the limited edition shade Calypso which embraces the season’s current shade trend of orange.

Take a peek!

Calypso is another wearable shade of bright tangerine orange. I find orange terribly challenging to wear so I’m ever so delighted when I find one I can wear. This is a golden orange with full coverage but somehow, someway even the heavier pigmentation of the shade allows me to wear it without an issue.

The Glossimer formula is always a lovely one as I’ve reviewed them numerous times on here I won’t get too into too many details on them here. However, I will say they have a lovely glide with a comfortable, weightless feel that’s never sticky or tacky.

I think Calypso is particularly unique since it isn’t as sheer as many other shades I already own plus it isn’t a loud, bold orange.

Calypso on lips

Overall, if you’re busy loving on the shade of the season, this one might be a gloss you’ll want to add to your stash!

A perfect golden orange for Summer 2012.

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. This looks absolutely beautiful on you, Muse! Not as opaque and loud as I originally thought–and that’s a good thing! It’s light enough but still bright and perfect for summer! Want!
