Wen Summer Mango Coconut Cleansing Conditioner Review

Wen got your back for Summer combining the soothing scent of milky coconut with juicy, succulent mangos into his new Cleansing Conditioner.

Let’s take a peek!

If you’ve never used it before it’s interesting to say the least as the formula resembles a thick, rich conditioner but it acts as both your shampoo and your conditioner.

If leaves my hair super soft, smooth, and incredibly conditioned. I’ve always felt like it rinses clean away too so I’m not left with a ton of weight or buildup.

Formulated without detergents & sodium laurel sulfate, this non-lathering formula won’t strip the hair or scalp of natural oils, it is safe to use daily.

Wen recently started introducing seasonal scents like Pumpkin, Gardenia, etc….

I love variety so it tickles me that he has a new scent for each season. I’ve been enjoying collecting them all.

Summer Mango Coconut is the latest seasonal release and is geared towards Summer. The formula here works for me just as well as Sweet Almond Mint which is my favorite Wen formula. It leaves my hair conditioned well, tangle-free, and very smooth with added volume as well.

Some formulas don’t feel particularly great in my hair but this one worked a treat.

I was a little disappointed the scent was all about coconut. Mango plays a really, really sad back note here so you’re getting a ton of tropical coconut but not as much mango.

But overall, it’s def a tropical, Summer-y treat for hair! I like coconut anyway so this was nice enough but I admit mango playing in the background would have made it even more special.

This is available now at QVC.com

darn it! You are not helping me. I’ve read other comments that this coconutty which is what I was hoping it wasn’t because I love coconut and I really want it now. Thanks for spening my paycheck again.

I’ve never tried Wen at all, but I wonder if it does magic. I especially am curious for dried-out bleached-to-death hair like mine, lol.

I really like it tiffany, makes hair soft ;-D might give your over worked hair some nice hydration!

I did read that if you use it more often that it can leave residue in your hair though. >: Maybe it’s best once in a while?

Does the smell linger in the hair? I’m not a huge coconut fan and I’ll be getting this with my next TSV shipment.

OMG, just got this from QVC yesterday and am in total love with the smell! I wish it did smell more mango than coconut but I’m still slayed by the scent. Can’t wait to try this out soon.

I love WEN but not as a full on cleanser. I like to use it just as a conditioner on the bottom half of my hair and it works great. I ran out of mine a while ago but now you have me wanting this one…I definitely just did a blog post saying I wanted it ;D hahah.

I should be getting this in my next tsv set. But I’m tempted to order it now. Teehee!

I <3 Wen! I have been using it for almost a year and my hairdresser is now a faithful believer in Wen based on the change in my hair. 🙂 I want this new sniff so badly!

I bought two bottles and they arrived day before yesterday. I suspected I would like it since I love coconut and I was right. I love it. You’re right – – – mostly tropical (not sweet) coconut and faint mango.

  • Cayla

Would you say that the sweet almond Mint and the Summer mango coconut worked equally well?

Just wondering what hair type this coconut scent is geared towards? I’m currently using the lavender scent (which I LOVE) except that I find that i have to wash my hair EVERY day or else it gets greasy quickly. I have thick natural curly hair and I’ve NEVER had an issue with greasy hair unless I wait like five days to wash it! I absolutely love coconut… any insight?

it seems like the seasonal scents aren’t geared to any particular hair type jackie. I have this, the gardenia, the chocolate minty, and pumpkin but none specify a hair type.

I got wen for my grand-daughter. She is 10 and has very thick wavy hair, and has always hated to have it combed or brushed.
But the Wen has made a world of difference. I have seen that certain, ones work better for her than others. And the Coconut Mango is one that does not work as well for her. But all an all out of the 5 season pick that we have been using this is the first one that we have had issues with. We love the Chocolate Mint and the Pomegranate.
I would recommend Wen to anyone, it hasn’t cured the problem 100%. Because she still has a fit, but I can comb throw it and I could not even think about that before.
