Bobbi Brown Desert Twilight Mini Brush Review

This was provided to me by a brand for review but all opinions expressed are my own

So what’s your brush situation like?

Got any room in your stash for the new Bobbi Brown Desert Twilight Mini Brush Set?

This cute little flip open case contains four Bobbi Brown essential brushes and room to tuck your favorite Bobbi Brown Palette inside (ahem the Desert Twilight Eye Palette fits perfectly inside, just sayin’).

This kinda reminds me of those old school cigarette cases that held your smokes and lighter. Remember those? I’m not a smoker but I recall family members having them when I was younger.

Inside you’ll find a special compartment to hold the four travel size brushes it comes with and a special slot to tuck the new Desert Twilight Eye Palette as well. You don’t have to limit yourself to toting the Desert Twilight Palette around those, it can easily fit any standard, small rectangle compact you might have from your Bobbi stash or otherwise.

I like the design a lot actually. At a glance the metallic brash-y gold threw me off and it looked a little retro but I find the entire thing incredibly travel friendly and great for plopping into your overnight bag. I spend a ton of time sleeping over my best friend’s apartment during weekends in the Fall since we spend so much time together. Ideally I’d love to tote just about everything I own makeup wise with me when I stay over but obviously that would be ridiculous. This is perfect for essentials and the brushes are incredibly helpful for full makeup application.

Unlike past brush sets I own from Bobbi she includes a flat blush brush that I’m really enjoying. This works for both blush and for applying a sheer layer of blush. I like the flat design of the brush as it fits the curve of my cheek nicely.

You also get a mini eye liner brush, eye sweep brush, and angle eye shadow brush. Pretty much all you really need for makeup application.

I’ve always felt the mini brushes were very high quality with soft bristles, zero issues with shedding, and strong handles.

At $55 it’s a little bit to splurge but it sure is a lovely little extra if you’re inclined to take the plunge.

I wish they had marked it at $75-$85 and included the Desert Twilight Palette to go along for the ride, that my friends, would make it perfect.

Don’t you agree?

What are you enjoying from the Bobbi Brown Desert Twilight Collection?

Fall can’t come soon enough so I can enjoy the lovely nudes in this collection!

Hi Muse! Do you own any Bobbi Brown 6 pan palettes (the ones you fill yourself)? I was wondering if those would fit. If so, I may get these brushes for traveling!

Does the eyeliner brush have a cap? Thank you and love your site! 🙂

I can’t decide on this. On the one hand, I don’t own any of these mini brush sets (shocker, right?) and I got the Desert Twilight palette (love!) and I’m crazy for any kind of set. On the other hand, I never really like mini brushes. Is the blush brush big enough for a light sweep of bronzer, maybe? I’m nuts for Desert Twilight (as mentioned in our email), but don’t know if I should go ahead and take the plunge with this.

I’ll pass on this. I have more than enough quality travel brushes, and at $55, it’s a bit steep. However, as you stated, if it came with the palette at a slightly higher pricepoint, I wouild actually be inclined , although the palette itself isn’t calling my name. As a set though, that alone would pique my interest.
