This was provided to me by a brand for review but all opinions expressed are my own

Allow me to introduce you to the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Birthday Suit Lip Gloss Set ($33), heck, after seeing it, maybe you wanna run around in lipgloss and your birthday suit. You sexy beast!

The aptly named Anastasia Beverly Hills Birthday Suit Lip Gloss Set is a limited edition set of of four (0.07 oz each in size) HydraFull Glosses in shimmering nude hues and is available as a Nordstrom Exclusive.

Let’s take a peek yes?

I’m always look for the perfect shade of nude gloss that I can wear. Something that makes my lips look full, glossy, with a hint of sparkle. I’m always wishing and hoping I can achieve Kim K’s gorgeous nude pout, if anything at all she rocks nude lips like no one’s biz.

This selection of shades is such an easy to wear collection. The shades aren’t dull, they don’t nude lips out to the point of looking deathly, and they have just enough tint to them to enhance the look of your lip color.

I was very pleased to notice that the glosses have a spatula applicator. This isn’t something that’s completely caught on in the US but is very common in Asian lip glosses. The spatula builds color and applies the gloss so easily. I like this style applicator so much more than a sponge one.

Sugar Pink, Guava, Barely, and Moi

Moi

Guava

Barely

Sugar Pink

The color selection here includes peachy nude beiges, dusky roses, and nude pinks. They have an opaque, milky texture with a thick plush formula. They aren’t sticky on my lips even though they are fairly thick and they have a fairly great wear time without the tack typical glosses have. On my lips they have a sort of bounce-y feel and give my lips a fuller appearance with a shiny finish.

I gotta say I love these. The formula has a plush feel on my lips with a comfortable wear. They have a nice shiny finish, give my lips a fuller look, and have that beautiful nude look I’m seeking without making me look like I’ve joined the ranks of the undead.

Guava

Moi

Loves ’em!

What a fabulous little kit for giving my lips that birthday suit finish!

Gorgeous.

Muse Approved for purchase.

If you’re a fan of nude shades of gloss I’m positive you’ll adore these as much as I do.

This reminds me a lot of the Holiday set I got at Sephora last Christmas…too bad it’s not the brighter colors of the glosses, which I wanted to try…

  • Libby

These looks lovely on you! I’ve always loved Anastasia’s lipglosses and I’m definitely going to check these out.

Thanks for the review and swatches!

I like them all, but especially the ones without shimmer. I’d like to try Barely and Moi. Also, I’ve never seen lip gloss with a spatula before, very interesting…

How does the spatula applicator work? Do you just scoop product up and put it on? Sorry, bad image of scraping myself somehow with this lol

    • the Muse

it doesn’t scrape lips at all 🙂 you just smooth it on your lips like butter! works better than a sponge 🙂 Almost all Asian glosses have a spatula for application. it’s also easier to clean it after each use.

  • Lulubelle

Thanks for explaining those tiny spatulas. They stumped me.

Had to get this set! Can’t wait for it to arrive! Great deal, and I stocked up on some workout gear during the Nordie sale as well.

I have been obsessed with lip spatulas like this since I got some glosses from Avon Mark. about 10 years ago that had silicone spatula applicators. I’ve since lost those glosses and have just recently started looking for glosses that come like that, and also anything that might act as a lip spatula on its own so I can use it for my new huge OCC lip tar collection. Right now I’m using the Swoon Pickup Artist to mix and apply the colors but with it’s tapered pointy tip it’s not the best shape. I just love the idea of using a silicone applicator rather than a lip brush with bristles that will soak up too much of the PRECIOUS LIQUID lol. So TDIL that Asian glosses commonly use this applicator style… AWESOME. I will assume your site is rife with reviews for these and be able to buy a bunch myself now… Because like 25 bucks for an Anastasia gloss is steep even for for me, considering I don’t really want the gloss, just the wand…. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR AWEZOME WORK MUSEY

almost all asian lipglosses embrace the spatula applicator Michelle 🙂 so you’ll be very pleased. Look under my beauty abroad tag and you’ll find plenty of reviews for ’em 😀 Aw my pleasure dear <3!
