The Body Shop All-In-One BB Cream

The Body Shop has a BB Cream available in Malaysia already but they will be launching a new All-in-One BB Cream shortly in the UK and Europe.

Good news for us as that means we’ll probably see it here in the US come Fall.

Excited?

The Body Shop All-In-One BB Cream will hit the scene later this month in the UK and retail for 12.

The Body Shop promises an all in one BB Cream that provides 24 hour hydration and a color adapting formula.

The innovative formula, as dubbed by The Body Shop, features pigment filled capsules that burst when applied to skin, releasing the color inside resulting in a perfect match to your exact skin tone.

It’ll be available in three shade selections of light, medium, and dark.

With the very poor launch formulas I’ve seen from BB Creams launched so far outside of Asia I am not getting too excited about this launch. I will try it, you never know, could prove incredible.

Thoughts?

Do share!

From the US releases you’ve tried so far, any fav BB Cream picks?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. I’m kinda getting put off with the US versions of so called BB creams. After trying out the real asian ones, I just feel like they do nothing. Well, at least they work as tinted moisturizers. But, I have a tiny bit of hope from TBS. They might come up with something nice 🙂

I agree with you on all of this, Appu!

Also…03 is Dark?! That is a ridiculous description. Just call it what it is but that is certainly not DARK!

lol youre so cute. You always have the latest news on BB cream from all over the world.

I agree that US BB creams have generally been a bust. But I picked up the Bobbi Brown BB cream this weekend at Nordstrom, and so far, dare I say, I’m liking it. It still probably does not provide as much coverage as some of the thicker Korean BB creams, but I think it beats the other ones on the US market and some of the lighter Asian ones. Too early to tell any skincare benefits, but definitely worth checking out!

However, I’m still skeptical about the TBS one. Guess I trust a comestics company to be better on coverage. This one sounds kind of like the Origins Vitazine, which is just a moisturizer with tan pigment beads.

I quite liked the last bb cream they released so I’m hoping this one will be good too!

I have tried a lot, A LOT of Korean BB creams and only saved the ones which are really, really great for my complexion in my ‘BB collection’. My latest love is the Peripera ‘I Love BB Light’, with SPF 50+ and a very good brightening effect. I am often tired and always very pale (due to an illness), but with this BB cream at least my skin looks healthy. Cannot recommend enough!

I’ve loved the face base by them – so their BB cream might be pretty good. I’ll have to check it out, when it’s released.

I’m partial to Boscia’s BB cream. I threw out the Garnier version and gave away Clinique’s BB cream. I’m interested in Smashbox’s as it looks like at least one person here had a good experience with it.

Hey Muse, have you tried CoverGirl & Olay Tone Rehab 2 in 1 Foundation? It has a scent to it, which I normally like unscented products, but it seriously is the first American foundation that feels like a BB cream. It has the same texture of the Skin79 BB cream. I was surprised and just wondered if you’d tried it and what you thought!

    • the Muse

i have, reviewed it when it originally launched sadly didn’t get the skin79 similarities to be honest 🙁 I actually hated it, felt a little to oily/greasy to me 🙁 and had separation issues due to the serum.

le sigh! wish I loved it as much as you sarah!

  • Quinctia

Wait, wait, wait, there’s already a drugstore BB cream out with pigment filled capsules that burst or whatever, so that’s not particularly innovative, Body Shop.

  • Phyrra

Holika Holika <3 oh wait, you asked for American. I liked how the Smashbox one feels.

  • D-tan

I am more fond of Japanese BB Creams (Nanoce and KATE are my faves) as they tend to blend better into my skintone versus Korean ones… but I have to admit I really do like the Smashbox BB Cream! I’ve been using it for everyday wear along with Clinique’s Redness Solutions Daily Protective Base to counteract my redness and don’t need to use any additional concealer with it. Plus the Smashbox one is pretty much a 100% match to my skin which is super difficult to find for me!

Thanks for always having news about the newest BB Creams to hit the market (in Asia and here in the US) as usual 😀 I’m really intrigued to try out the Bobbi Brown and TBS BB creams!

    • the Muse

i really need to test out the smashbox d-tan, it’s been sitting in my stash for ages ;-D aw my pleasure so glad you enjoy the posts ;-D

Hi Muse! So quick question.. you had rave reviews about both the Dior and Bobbi Brown BB cream…but if you had to pick ONE of the two…which one do you like better? Or would you still pick the Skin 79 Gold BB cream over both of those two?

  • Mary

I really hope the “pigment filled capsules” aren’t akin to Almay’s smart shade makeup. That one was really disappointing for me! Also, is it bad I want to try it (at least in part) because the tube is cute? 🙂
