Bare Minerals Well Rested Eye & Face Brightener Review & Swatches

This was provided to me by a brand for review but all opinions expressed are my own

Bare Minerals is all about the eyes this Fall. Bare Minerals Well Rested Eye & Face Brightener is a new lightweight luminizer for use under eyes in a new cream formulation. Well Rested is already a beloved favorite of BE fans available in a powder format however, I do believe the two products are considerably different.

Take a look!

Bare Minerals Well Rested Eye & Face Brightener ($22) is the second light reflecting eye product released for Fall 2012. Stroke of Light is a similiar product but is tinted in color versus Well Rested which is a pearl white shade.

This chubby click pen has a brush applicator for application and can be used all over your face including under eyes. It improves the overall radiance of skin with light-reflecting pigments which create a natural light and glow to the face that gives the illusion of brighter, well rested skin.

I’ve mentioned it dozens of times but I don’t particularly know how to highlight well and I dislike highlighting under my eyes because of the shimmery, sparkly finish. Well Rested actually has a very subtle radiant glow to it that’s barely visible upon application but still has a rather nice way of diffusing the appearance of dark circles under eyes or fatigue around the face. You can swipe and blend it out easily for a touch of light or brightness in areas like your cheek bones, a stroke down the bridge of your nose, or a little swipe under eyes. If you want a little wash over lids works a treat as well for a more natural look when you’re in a rush and can’t do a full eye makeup look!

It really creates a nice fresh-faced look and lends more youthfulness to your finished makeup.

Overall, Bare Minerals Well Rested Eye & Face Brightener is a very easy to use highlighter that works great at creating flawlessness and easing tired, dull skin and dark circles. Quite a nice tool to keep handy for smaller finishing touches after your makeup is in place. Fans of the powder Well Rested will probably want to check this out!

I liked this one.

It’s worth checking out.

I didn’t check this out since the original one never worked for me. Maybe I’ll test it out in store.

I got a call from my local BE boutique that they are getting a new foundation at the end of August. I guess they are going with a pressed like foundation (like Pur minerals?). Have you heard about that?

    Best. Highlighter. Ever.

My friend Kat got this thinking it was a concealer like the regular well rested, she didn’t like it and gave it to me. I’ve been using it every day on top of my cheeks.

I LOVE it! I use it under my eyes and it really does brighten it up. It’s subtle and not too shimmery ;D!
