About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Oh Muse… reading your blog always does damage to my wallet! Never tried anything by e.l.f. before but I heard some of their studio brushes were decent for the price. Just in time too, because I’m in serious need of some new face brushes… picked up a few along with a bunch of blushes to try out. Before I know it, there was $50 worth of things in the cart. I guess now I can justify paying $7 for shipping since I am saving $25. Thankfully they are willing to take Canadian CC, so I’m not left crying like I did with the UD sale that is going on (*shakes angry fist… why UD why!*). Thanks for sharing! <3 <3 <3

le sigh indeed, but God knows I have way too much make up already as it is so it’s fine. Going to Vegas next month and will be making a stop at the MAC pro and Inglot stores at Caesar’s Palace, so I’ll save my cash for then. Any “must have” suggestions? I’m eyeing all the duochrome pigments at the moment from both places.

Haha good stuff. No worries, I am one of those annoying customers that touches and swatches everything, then spends 30 minutes to decide what to buy. I have plenty of fun doing it too! I am really interested in the MAC creamsheen pearl lipsticks, but since they are permanent I may not jump on it right away (vacation costs a lot of $).

ha I’m the same. I love spending hours just deciding on what shades I like which formulas, etc..I could spend the day happily in sephora just swatching away 😀 I hear ya! they are def perm so no need to rush!

I too, thought i would only spend around 20$ to get the promotional code since i already owned a lot of e.l.f By the time i’m done, i have over 50$ worth of products in my shopping cart.

It’s amazing how quickly it adds up. You think it’s pretty cheap, $1 here, $3 there. Then you wonder how it got to be $50! Hahaha…

What are your thoughts on the fact that elf products are made in China. I stopped buying the makeup when I found that out. I do still, however, buy the brushes. The makeup on the other hand stays on your face…
