Beauty on a Budget: Hard Candy Top Ten Eye Shadow Palettes

Hard Candy has released five new Top Ten Eye Shadow Palettes for six dollars each. These budget friendly palettes are a mere $6 each and feature ten shades of shadow each.

I admit, I’m kinda in love with the Naturally Gorgeous Palette which has ten natural shades!

Take a look!

Naturally Gorgeous is a nude, natural palette where as Green Envy is a selection of richer greens. I liked these two palettes the best out of the launch but if you prefer cooler blues, pinks, or smokier purples you can pick from those other three color options.

I haven’t tried the shadows yet but they look like they’ll have nice, buttery textures. Naturally Gorgeous is proving rather difficult to locate at Walmart. I was lucky enough to get a press sample to review. I searched several Walmarts but absolutely no luck. I can definitely understand its popularity.

These come in plastic compacts with a little lace motif on the front cover. They might make a nice teen stocking stuffer but at this point I’m leaning in to say they might be a great pick for beauty budgeters….! Seems the formula might just prove lovely. We shall see!

Review upcoming shortly.

    To quote Janice from “Friends,”

    OH

    MY

    GAWD.

I NEED Green with Envy and Naturally Gorgeous. Heck, since it’s Hard Candy (it just KILLS me that they’re a Wal-Mart brand. I remember when the only thing hotter than their nail polish was Chanel’s Vamp), I might also splurge on the purple palette.

  • OrangeLipstickBlog

I almost picked up the Naturally Gorgeous one and the purple one but then I didn’t because I talked myself out of it! Dang.

LOL! well don’t get them yet! I’m going to review soon, who knows they might stink!

  • Chelsea

I’m thinking of making hard candy my new go to drugstore line. I keep reading great reviews of their products. Has anyone tried their mascaras or self tanners?

  • Serena

Is there somewhere online where I can see all of the palettes? I looked on their website and didnt see them. Thanks!

I saw the nude one in a NJ Walmart over Thanksgiving break and all I could think was, “Uh hello, Naked dupe!” I know that Hard Candy used to be affiliated with UD but am unsure if they still are, so it’ll be interested to see how this’ll compare. Very excited for your review!

    • the Muse

they actually aren’t anymore but I remember those days hehe! I dunno about a naked dupe lol formula might not be that GREAT! 😀

      • Kelsey

AAHHH those days were the best, back then I got a Too Faced-style palette for $5 (3-tier, I might add) and it rocked! Still excited, but you’re right, the formula probably can’t measure up. 🙂

I saw a full display of these last month, read the few reviews that existed at the time that said these weren’t that great, and never looked back. I’m really looking forward to what you think of them though, muse. Your reviews never fail me 🙂 *awaits patiently*

I bought the neutral and purple palettes, and I am considering throwing both out! The worst part about them is the inconsistency! The color payoff is only good with some shades, only great with a couple, and straight up bad with most. In the neutral palette, the only color that I think is worth keeping is the gold/copper, and the purple palette has a black shadow that is pretty good. Otherwise, save the $6 and get some W&W eyeshadows.

Oh Muse! I hope you can give me a positive review! I want these bad (okay, I have a thing for lace, lace + makeup = LOVE) but my brothers girlfriend has the blue one (so I can’t speak for the others) but it’s terrible :'( So chalky and not much pigmentation, well there is about three eyeshadows that aren’t unbearable but thats not enough for it to take up that precious vanity real-estate 😉 Hope these ones are much better! Or she got a bad batch lol

  • Alicia

I purchased the green with envy palette and I have to say it contains some of the worst eye shadows I have ever used. I don’t know if I got a bad palette but they were not pigmented, very dry and hard to blend, and had lots of fall out.

I have the Green With Envy palette and it is awful… I had high hopes with it but the first “highlighter” shade has absolutely no pigmentation. A few of the shades are actually downright beautiful but they irritate my eyes like crazy! Not even “cheap” eyeshadows like Wet and Wild do that to me. Very disapointed :/
