MAC Taste Temptation Blush Review & Swatches
The MAC Taste Temptation Collection launches soon and with it two new blushes. Passionately Tempted and Unconventional are two blushes that you might want to sneak a peek of on December 6th when they launch.
Passionately Tempted is a particularly unique shade that dark skin types are sure to love on!
MAC Passionately Tempted Blush is a satin finish blush with an intense color pay off. Wahooo! Pigment is abound here my friends. However, as of late I find satin finish formulas from MAC a little dry so you really need to take an extra light approach when applying this. This is pain in the !&$ to blend out due to not only the drier texture but the incredible pigment MAC packed into it. Even with a lighter hand I ended up looking like all kinds of crazy after application. I finally ended up sheering it down with a ton of powder. The shade is sort a plummy bright purple which borders magenta.
I gotta admit I think it’s a keeper. The shade is unique and pigmentation is strong! But you def need to practice a little bit with it and get just the right brush for application to see the best results. It’ll look stunning on darker skin tones.
MAC Unconventional Blush kinda reminds me of Sakura from the Quite Cute Collection. I don’t look great in pale lavender shades like this but it makes an excellent highlighting shade on both fairer or darker skin tones. It’s a very cool shade but it gives a nice pop of almost pink on my cheeks. The pigment, for such a light blush, was quite excellent and the texture for a frost was very good as well. It had a smooth finish without accentuating dryness or looking frosty after application. It’s almost a cross between a satin and a frost finish.
Overall, Taste Temptations does have some of the more unique colors I’ve seen from MAC lately. If you like unusual colors you might want to explore these two options.
MAC Taste Temptations launches December 6th.
