The Body Shop Cranberry Joy Lip Balm Holiday 2012 Review
The Body Shop Cranberry Joy Lip Balm is one of three limited edition lip balms that launched for Holiday 2012. I already reviewed the Ginger Sparkle Lip Balm which I truly enjoyed!
Cranberry Joy is just as lovely.
Take a look!
These little balms are similiar to EOS Lip Balms as they come in a similarly shaped dome. They retail for six dollars each but I got them during one of the 50% Off Sales that the Body Shop has been having for the Holiday so that knocked it down to a very budget friendly $3 bucks!
The balms are quite tiny, a little bigger than a quarter I’d say so they are a nice size for travel or stowing away on your night table or desk drawer.
Cranberry Joy is a solid bright, warmer red. It doesn’t have larger specks of shimmer in it like Ginger Sparkle but it does have smaller, more refined ones. This shimmer doesn’t really come across on lips unfortunately. I was a little disappointed the red doesn’t really translate to lips. The balm applies transparently even when built up. The flavor is a fruity cranberry that’s quite pleasant. It’s not an artificial or a plastic-y flavor, it actually tastes quite like fresh cranberries just sweeter!
The dome shape allows you to easily swipe the balm on. The finish has a balm-y, heavier texture thats comparable to using a Chapstick. It adds some moisture but not the type of moisture that gives lips a glossy look! It is a balm after all. It softens lips nicely but isn’t incredibly hydrating.
Overall, I’m kinda digging on these little Holiday Lip Balms! They really are quite cute stocking stuffers!
Cranberry Joy Lip Balm is available for a limited time at the Body Shop or online at www.thebodyshop-usa.com
