Benefit Primping with the Stars Review & Swatches

Benefit Primping with the Stars ($32) is one of three new All-Star Instant Beauty Kits that the brand is launching this January at Sephora which includes essentials for lips, cheeks, and eyes.

If you’re a fond fan of Benefit you’ll appreciate having all your favs in one easy to carry around palette or if you’ve never tried some of Benefit’s cult favorite products this is a good chance to do so without committing to a full size.

Take a look!

Benefit Primping with the Stars contains essentials for a full, natural makeup look without a ton of know how. The kit is a hard cardboard box that contains a mirror, how to guide, and essentials from Benefit for lips, cheeks, and eyes. As far as I’m concerned the only thing missing here is a lipgloss as everything else and the kitchen sink is in this kit. And well after you used it all up you can make use of the cute book style packaging to store jewelry and other small treasures!

You get Stay Don’t Stray Primer which does double duty as a lid concealer. This creamy shadow primer can be used alone to brighten up eyes or under shadows for all day where. Also included is the POREfessional that you can use to prep with to minimize the appearance of pores. Follow up with Some Kind A Gorgeous (Medium) for lightweight foundation coverage. Stain cheeks and lips with Benefit’s legendary Benetint Cheek and Lip Stain and follow up with Girl Meets Pearl for a light luminous glow. Complete the look with a few swipes of They’re Real Mascara and you’re good to go!

Flawless and easy in seconds!

Girl Meets Pearl, Some Kind A Gorgeous, Stay Don’t Stray

Benetint and POREfessional

Most of these products I already use daily anyway so it’s great having them in a portable size for travel. I’m not a fan of Some Kind A Gorgeous as it feels a tad oily on my skin for some reason plus the medium shade doesn’t work well for me. Although it will fit many tones the medium shade might be a deal breaker for those fairer of skin.

Rounding out at six dollars per product this is a great way to check out many Benefit favs without dishing $30 or more dollars on the full size. However, it could prove repetitive if you already own many of these products.

The set will launch this Spring at Sephora and Sephora.com

Will you be indulging?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If they release another kit with POREfessional in it I will probably explode. I haven’t bought any of their latest sets because I already have like three of those tiny tubes! Which is too bad, because the rest of the set looks really nice. D:

They make so many of these little kits and I would love to get them but I am fair so the some kind of gorgeous would not work for me.

I would get this except I don’t need the benetint and some kinda gorgeous is way too dark. Suppose I could purchase then sell those on ebay!

It seems every single time Benefit comes out with one of these “all-inclusive” kits, the foundation is in medium only. They don’t make multiples with different shades (not that the lightest shade suits me anyway). Very frustrating.
