Missha Two Faces of Beauty 2012 F/W Sensual Smoky Look Lip Kit Review & Swatches

If you’re still hunting for the perfect gift allow me to direct you to the the Missha Two Faces of Beauty 2012 F/W Sensual Smoky Look Limited Lip Kit.

This gorgeous gift set features a lip palette, lipstick, and gloss.

Take a look!

Created for Fall 2012 this is one of two shades collections that’s available for a limited time.

The Sensual Smoky set, which I’ve swatched here, features neutral lip colors to compliment a smoky eye look with an apricot beige lip color. Expert makeup artist, Val Garland, graced the models’ lips with this collection during the Behnaz Sarafpour S/S 2013 Show during New York Fashion Week.

All the products in this set are limited edition with rose gold packaging. The packaging is stunning with a swirled floral design. The casing on the products is very lightweight but has the appearance of a heavier feel. Although created for Fall the unique packaging makes it an excellent elegant gift for the Holiday Season!

Includes:

  • Missha Signature Glam Art Rouge (neutral apricot beige)
  • Missha Signature Glam Art Gloss (gold pearl beige)
  • Missha Signature Glam Art Rouge Palette (selection of the most popular Glam Art Rouge Lipstick shades)

I’d recommend these shade selection for fair to medium skin types as it may come across a tad pasty on darker skin tones. The color is a delightful shade of fleshy apricot beige which has a certain MLBB (my lips but better) color on me and should appear even more so on those with fairer skin.

At first I didn’t like the shade but its grown on me quite a bit and I use it daily now with my warmer eye looks!

Glam Art Rouse Lipstick is a cream finish so it does feel slightly dry on me. I always have a rather crummy experience with cream finishes for some reason. I’d suggest a little balm under it for the best results. Glam Art Gloss is a fully opaque gloss with a glossy finish formula that’s lightweight and quite pigmented. Both products are cream in finish so the effects are more of a mod apricot on my lips. Don’t let mod scare you, it’s quite pretty!

The palette lipsticks are a tad dense in texture so you’ll want to use a lip brush for application. These are also cream finishes with an opaque finish. They are slightly drying so I prefer using gloss on top of them.

Overall, I actually liked the set a lot. They drier formula is a tad uncomfortable with the lipstick but with the gloss on top it wasn’t bothersome in the least and the shade just sort of ended up working very well for me. This is surprising as I typically don’t like creamy mod finishes like this but I think it looks rather nice.

I think it’s a really nice gift for lip lovers. The packaging is beautiful and it would prove unique for those who haven’t tried Asian beauty products before as well.

Likey!

It’s $28 at the moment but Missha has numerous sales so you’re bound to get a deal on it. Just join their mailing lists for info on sales and coupons.

I’m usually not really into Missha, but I have to say that this time their packaging is very pretty. The lip gloss color also looks really good.

OMG I have been looking at this set and the Feminine Grace set too. I was really satisfied with my Lovely Natural 2012 S/S Signature Limited collection.

I do have a small issue with the lipstick though….it is creamy…but it settles into the lines of your lips and sometimes can end up looking chalky so I have to use the lip gloss to make it look nicer…which is tough sometimes for me because I’m not much of a lip gloss person lol
