30 Minutes In & I Had to Quit

Phew 30 minutes into my workout I had to quit today. Obviously my cold is kicking my ass still. I was so hoping to be back to 100% today but hey, I still feel much better! Baby steps! I know many of you are fighting the same cold/flu/sinus infections. I hope your Monday was as good as mine. Outside of feeling mighty winded after 30 minutes of my treadmill I’m still feeling really good today. That cold really wiped me. I think all that coughing broke my back or something! I have aches in places I’ve never had in my life ha!

Here’s to wishing you a better Monday! Hope all of you are feeling better! Tomorrow I’ll try for my normal 90 wish me luck!

Remember lots of soup, bad telly shows, and some good reads makes all the coughs and sniffling much better! Wish I was there to make the soup and watch the tv with you!

    I feel ya, my ribcage is sore and I feel like I sprained my throat or something. Like…it’s sore in a muscle way not in a sore throat way…so bizarre.

            Yeah we spent the week of Thanksgiving with my parents then I went back out with him. Actually I wish I was still with him! Having withdrawal symptoms. I want my bf back. Waaaaah! But I will be happy to see my sis.

    I think I will have to put a tv in the bathroom, since I’m spending so much time there! I thought I was getting better, then last night the nausea came back & continues today. Sniffles & sneezing & congestion, oh my! Hope we all get better soon.

      oh no gk! *hugs* I feel a lot better today….I did get very winded today though while trying to do my normal workout so I stopped. outside of that cough is gone, a little runny nose but it is drying up! jeez hope you feel better soon my dear!

    Wow you are amazing! 30+ min of workout is really good especially if you are still getting better! Everytime I look at my elliptical I feel really guilty and angry because I’ve been so lazy this holidays.
    I once had such a bad flu when I finally was out of bed I was very weak and when I sneezed my lower back would “fail” and I’d fall to my knees. My doctor said it was because I have been too many hours a day sitting in the same position in bed so I had compressed my lower back. I had to sit up to study for my tests, which I couldn’t take anyway because you can`t go around at the university looking like you’re doing express praying on your knees every 5 minutes on the corridor floor. It was so crazy, my nose would start to tingle and I’d think “Oh no, oh no, here we go again I hate this I hate this”. Worst month ever. Take that, this year`s august with your constant 104� F!

      I thought it would be hard getting to 30 but it wasn’t but I got tired and winded after that so didn’t press it ;-D little steps at a time I guess. Today I’m feeling much better. cough is gone, a little cracked nose/runny nose but aside from that much much better! omg that sounds awful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My back was killing me yesterday, kinda lower back area from coughing I guess!? or maybe I’m getting old hahhahaaha! it went away this morning thankfully!

        Back pain after being sick and resting is so weird, like your body is like a dog who’s annoyed because you didn’t take him out for a walk and starts acting like a jerk. Stretching before exercise works. Get some balm for that nose or it will get worse, mine apparently has an infinite ammount of skin cause it can peel for ever and ever. And, get better!
        2013 new goal #16: stop calling my body a jerk. It’s not his fault.

          LOL marta yeah…! oh def need to stretch prior! very important. thankfully it’s nice and smooth again versus red and cracked :-/ lol!

    I was ill right before the holidays and still have the morning stuffies. Took most of the holiday off but just went back on mon. and did spinning and today zumba. Tomorrow is kickboxing. I like to jump around and will probably fit an elliptical workout and a bellydancing workout in there somewhere too. I too found it a little hard to get back in the swing and am fighting the sore throat and sinus problem. Hopefully we all get back to our fighting selves soon 🙂

      stuffies here too amber, kinda crunchy nose syndrome going on lol! I started right after New Years and had it for mmm at least five or six days…I felt very winded yesterday when trying to get back to my normal workout 🙁 It was hard to say the least, couldn’t get past the 30 mark. Gosh hope I am back to jumping around soon myself hehe ;-D I don’t do all of that (DAMN girl go you!) but def like to get my 90 mins in on my treadmill or at the least take my 4 mile walk when the weather is holding out. Freaking cold sucks though, it sucks the energy right from your body!

    I’m with you on not pushing yourself when you’re not feeling well. Similarly, all my “eating healthy” plans go out the window when I’m ill. Chocolate and cupcakes all the way.

      lol iris…I actually get less hungry when I’m ill 🙁 I prob lost weight rather than gain! all I want is tea and soup when I’m sick…! thank you!!!!!!!! I’m feeling much better this week!

        Ew no! Cigarettes are nastyyyy. Exercising is just not my forte. Unless you count shopping. Which I totally do its like a competitive sport yo. Lol!

    lol everyone in this post is sick. Unclean post needs disinfectant! Like everyone in my family and my boyfriend’s family is sick. Everyone. You probably should put off exercise until you feel 100%.. ;w; Take it easy~

    I’m a runner I swear but only if you do not feel light headed or dizzy in any posible way, a good 8 mile run will kill everything! Either that or kill you! Lol! I had a nasty cold (not flu) but a bad cold years ago and went training anyways at beautiful Santa Beach we cover from Venice Beach to Santa Monica to almost reaching El Segundo in an 18 or so miles with the Roadrunners when the going gets serious. Omg! I carried tissues with me and they would get totally soaked it was bad and if I had to sneeze my eyes pushed out tons of water it was bad but I didn’t feel too sick well, once I returned home and took my long hot shower it was totally gone! But that was ten years ago and I was in perfect shape running some 10 marathons and shorter races like a maniac. Lots of friends and fun! Perhaps if I tried it now I would DIE instantly but I swear it worked then. I have run in the rain, contrary to all old wives tales didn’t catch a cold. Just turn up the heater once back in the car then shower right away and put on warm clothes in winter. My mom would have a heart attack when I would tell her later! Lol! But one thing is dangerous to me at least going without breakfasts that is a big No! No! I got dizzy but still didn’t drop like a fly.
    Working out is fine except if you are seriously sick or feeling weak or have nasty sinus infection. My doc. warns me is best to let the body recover but not true unless you are really sick of course. I guess I sweat it out all the bad stuff and it was gone like a miracle. I was totally surprised! 🙂
