Buxom Divine Goddess Luminizer Review & Swatches

This was provided to me by a brand for review but all opinions expressed are my own

Highlighter fans rejoice the new Buxom Divine Goddess Luminizer is coming your way for Spring 2013. This whooping 2 oz size of bottled glow is quite huge so if you’re a fond fan of getting your highlighter on this super size shall please.

But isn’t 2 oz overkill for highlighter?

Actually, the 2 oz size terrified me. How in the world would anyone, even with daily use, get through a 2 oz cream luminizer slash highlighter? That’s A LOT of glow!

I typically avoid cream highlighters (and power ones too) because I just don’t have the know how to apply them correctly. I end up looking way too shimmery. It’s a bad case of overglow.

The general idea of a 2 oz tube of highlighter is very overwhelming to me so when I got the new Buxom Divine Goddess Luminizer I immediately started shaking my head in fear.

But worry not…this is actually awesome sauce (I can’t believe I am saying that about a highlighter). You can use this as a face or body cream so if you’re plotting a Spring break getaway (I think I am!) this is perfect for smoothing on freshly tanned legs or arms.

So what so great about it? Well the fact that is fool proof to apply helps. Believe me I stink at application with liquid glow/highlighter anything. However, this has a sheer, easy to absorb formula that doesn’t contain a ton of glow-y glittery shimmery joy. The soft beige incandescent glow provides a natural light on my face. It’s so sheer in fact you can easily use it all over your face should you like without fear of over doing it.

The lightweight yet runny consistency absorbs easily and can be used over, under, or without foundation or mix it with your favorite moisturizers or bb creams for a pretty glow.

I can understand why they bottled it up in such a large size because it’s the type of product you won’t be scared to use a little or a lot of.

For a foolproof, easy to apply glow Buxom Divine Goddess Luminizer is your girl.

I’m Muse Approving this one.

Well worth picking up for those of us that are a tad heavy handed or just can’t get down our glow right. Easy to apply, easy to use, and looks flawless and beautiful even when you’re a bit heavy handed.

I haven’t had a chance to try this on my face, but swatched on my hand it was GORGEOUS! I picked up a 1 oz sample size as part of a Sephora 500 point perk (the only reason I used 500 points was to get the sample, because I was not about to spend money on it because it’ll take forever to finish the tube).

Looks good for lighter skinned ladies like yourself Muse. I’ll probably stick with Nars Laguna as it’s dark enough to accommodate me as I go up a shade or two in the summer!

You know… at first glance the highlighter looked dark but its like a nice champagne color! I need a new highlighter with oomph. I actually haven’t really searched for a great highlighter. I know where to start :3
