Garnier The Radiance Renewer Cleansing Gelee for Spring 2013

Garnier the Radiance Renewer Cleansing Gelee for Dull Skin recently launched in drugstores. This new cleanser contains citrus extract as well as hydroxy acid to restore the glow to dull skin.

I always get yanked into purchases like this since I suffer from duller skin when I don’t have makeup on so promise to restore the glow and ease the lackluster and I’m all in!

This has something that Garnier calls Cushion Gel Technology…mmm ok. Upon contact with water it creates a cushioning forma to remove dirt, oil, and makeup. Citrus Extract and Hydroxy Acid boosts skill’s natural cell renewal, both ingredients are lower on the list so there might not be a ton of either in the cleanser. It also contains salicylic acid (also lower on the list) which worries me as it tends to dry my skin out.

I will be testing and reviewing it shortly.

As I said I’m a sucker for anything that promises to ease dullness.

I actually don’t know the price on this, will verify in my review as my friend purchased it for me at Walgreens and I didn’t think to ask him the price. I imagine $8.99-$9.99 mark?

Tried it?

Do share!

Curious to see how you like it, I saw this at CVS yesterday but I didn’t indulge since I have like 5 Youth Code foaming cleansers left still from when I got when they were super cheap at CVS a few months back. But if this is really amazing I might like to try it, maybe use it in the morning and Youth Code at night.

I’m curious too, I’m not exactly anything wow inspiring but hey, it’ll do for AM clarisonic runs I’m sure ;D

      • Tammie

Yeah I like to use brightening cleanser in the morning, at least if I am using the Clarisonic. I’ve been using that Ponds one that you reviewed a while back, but this one with a pump is probably easier for my lazy self to use haha.

I might have just talked myself into picking this up anyway…I have to stop by CVS to return the Rimmel Kate lipstick I got the other day (I should have listened to you) anyway.

Hello my new cheapo morning cleanser! *scrambles to make room in the caddy*

  • Littlecreek

Very interesting. I like that it has the salicylic acid, but in a small amount. I find cleansers that have that as a focus are very drying even for me, but if it only has a little it may just be perfect!

I’ve been using it for over a week and I’m pretty sure it broke me out. Curious to see how someone else fairs with it.

  • Teresa

I’m glad you are feeling better!

I’m a sucker for any skincare that promises to counteract dull skin. However, I’ll wait for your review before pulling the trigger.

    • the Muse

thanks teresa, much! phew! ;-D I got some serious r&r in this weekend!

  • Lulle

I’m curious about this cleanser. I’d love to find a drugstore cleanser that does the job without drying out the skin, and I also have a tendancy to be dull. I mean, my skins has!
I’ll be waiting for your review!

Is this just about like the face wash that Garnier put out called “The Brusher”? I know someone that loved that one but I never tried it

  • Lorraine ER

I have a great acne cleanser right now but I like to switch it up because I swear my skin gets used to face products and they don’t work as well. I try to have two or three cleansers for different purposes, like one for acne and one for oil control, one that works best with my clarisonic wanna-be brush….etc.

Look forward to what you think of it- so far Garnier hasn’t let me down!

Also I purchased the Garnier Moisture Renew cleanser and moisturizer after reading your reviews and I still use and like them a lot.

I’m really looking forward to your review on this. I too have dull, dry skin, so I really take your skincare reviewsseriously. Can’t wait!

  • Ange

I purchased this over the weekend and had my partner act as tester. His skin looked, smelled and felt wonderful. I haven’t always been happy w/ the strong fragrance Garnier uses in its products, but this one was pleasant. Can’t wait for your review.

Hi Muse!! I picked this up thinking it would be perfect for my oily skin, but it not only made my face break out but dried it my face as well :(. I kept it and use it as an exfoliating body wash and it’s excellent for that purpose!!

    • the Muse

le sigh sorry to hear it :-/ I’m still testing…kinda on and off at the moment thankfully no breaks outs.

  • Elisha

I’ve used for three days ……… I think I’m going to like this product!!! It smells good, has not dried my face out and my skin is noticeably pink and “glowing”. Absolutely NO irritation.

NICE new product! Cleans skin without drying & washes away makeup really well. My skin is oily in T-zone even @ 50~ will purchase again since I’ve tried all brands not a high end fan -drugstore matches them everytime. GO BUY!
