Philosophy Hope in a Jar Night Moisturizer for Spring 2013

I’m a huge fan and supporter of Philosophy’s Miracle Worker Moisturizer which is why my next purchase is going to be Philosophy Hope in a Jar Night Moisturizer.

Recently introduced for Spring and available exclusively at QVC this rich night cream sounds quite incredible!

Take a look!

This is a retexturizing night cream that promises noticeably smooth skin, soften fine lines, and restore a rosy glow to your complexion (this part grabbed me).

It boosts nighttime renewal to retexturize skin as it plumps the appearance of fine lines and evens skin tone with a patented qusomes help deliver potent glycolic acid deep into skins surface.

I don’t have finer lines but I was hopeful this would act as a preventative measure while evening out skin tone, moisturizing, and restoring my rosy glow easing my dullness.

Hopeful!

I think I might order it.

What’s your current skincare lemming?

I have been a devoted Philosophy user for about 5 years. I have combination sensitive skin. I will say that Philosophy has improved my skin greatly. I used to have a lot of blackheads in my T-zone, and they are gone now.

I have used the regular hope in a jar moisturizer all this time. When they came out with the Miracle Worker “franchise” as they call it, I tried that line, thinking because it was newer it might be better. To my horror, I found that Miracle Worker caused me to develop whiteheads all over my face within a week. After dealing with that problem, I went back to using the regular hope in a jar.

I’ve also tried the Take a Deep Breath oxygen gel cream moisturizer, but I prefer the texture of the old school hope.

A little reluctant to try the pm version if its anything like Miracle Worker.

I am on day 3 of Hope In A Jar Night. After having spent thousands on different very expensive skin care products, I have a few good ones that work, and it seems that this one works quicker than any other that I’ve seen! I layer on Hope In A Jar Night on top of my ritual of Lancôme’s Genefique and Visionnaire. I am not certain if the Hope in A Jar is actually balling up and rolling off of my face after it dries, or if the different acids in the products combined are actually taking off very thin layers of my skin, but as soon as the Hope In A Jar dries completely, I am able to rub my face and a very thing layer of “something” sloughs off. Anyway, day 3 and I can tell a dramatic difference in softness of my skin, my fine lines are diminishing, my age spots seems lighter, my skin has a dramatic reduction of the red tone that I normally have. 🙂 Good luck! I think we have a winner!

I get the same roll off effect after mine dries. Was not sure if it is supposed to do that

It does sound nice, but it’s going to have to pass the sniff test first. I CAN’T stand that weird, wet-lemony dog scent of the current version.

ME EITHER Al! but no worries their night creams typically don’t smell like the original Hope in a Jar thank GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2nd that! I love philosophy but that is the most disgusting smelling skincare product ever!

    • Avrie

I agree! I got a small sample of this product from sephora during my last visit and when I applied it to my face I immediately smelt this disgusting Oder that reminded me of spoiled milk and I had to take it of right after I put it on my face.

I hate that qvc never has free shipping or i would be all over this! Any news on when it will be at sephora/ulta?

  • Ashley

I love love love love love philosophy and recently bought myself the gigantic purity face wash and regular hope in a jar. Love this stuff. Can’t wait for your review on the night version!

I have the regular Hope in a Jar and if I get it anywhere near (as in my nose, forehead, etc.) it burns my eyes. It’s a large jar just to be able to use only on my chin and neck! I think I’ll pass on this version.

  • Becky

Oh. My god. The packaging. I’m such a sucker for simple glossy black and white and this looks amazing!

  • Ruth

There’s a face mask that you goop on, let harden and then peel off. it’s supposed to be like a pore strip for your face. I love to look at the strips when it removes the blackhead and can’t even imagine the fun that the mask would be!

  • Trish

I’ve been searching for a good moisturizer and the name and packaging have me anxious to try this one! Looks awesome!

  • Maria

I have used this a few times so far… It doesn’t smell like the original (smells more like an ointment, honestly) and is much thicker and has almost a gel consistency. I’ve woken up with my face still moisturized. So far, loving it!

Just bought this today and was so excited because I love the original! Put it on tonight and it took a few min for it to absorb, white mask. Wherever I had a blemish had a burning feeling, like when I use my toner. Is that normal? I wanted a night creme but I am thinking this one isn’t for me 🙁

I have been having trouble with dry patches on my skin, so I thought it was time to try a night cream. I have always loved Philosophy products, so I thought this was a sure bet. The first few nights I thought it was going to work. My skin felt very moisturized, the smell wasn’t attractive, but it stick around..After about a week I have noticed my skin, everywhere is very dry. This is the only product that I am using that is new to my skin. So I guess I probably have a sensitivity to AHA…

I found this on a one day only sale on qvc. I got both the hope in a jar and the hope in a jar night. They came in the mail today. I was wondering if you got a chance to try it and what do you think???
