Too Faced No Makeup Makeup Fresh & Flawless Face Palette Review & Swatches

This was provided to me by a brand for review but all opinions expressed are my own

For Spring Too Faced goes natural with its new No Makeup Makeup Fresh & Flawless Face Palette. This nifty little compact features essentials for creating a flawless, natural no makeup look.

As much as I love a full on makeup look there are weekends where I am far too lazy to apply a full face and just desire something light and makeup-less looking but I fear going completely without my essentials like concealer for example and a little blush.

I associate Spring with lighter makeup. A fresh face for Spring is lovely plus the weather is just starting to warm up so natural makeup is always a nicer touch when coming out from hibernation.

Too Faced packs all you’ll need to create your natural look in one cute, easy to travel with tin!

I don’t own the original Natural Face Natural Radiance Face Palette but comparing it to the No Makeup Makeup Fresh & Flawless Face Palette you’ll easily notice that one is more bronze-y than the other. No Makeup Makeup contains fresher pinks versus the sunkissed finish of the Natural Face Palette. So you basically have a choice here for your natural look…if you like baby pinks for your natural look go with the No Makeup Makeup Palette. If you prefer a bronze-y peach sunkissed natural look go with the original Natural Face Palette.

Simple!

I also think the No Makeup Makeup Palette will probably suit a fairer skin type as well where as the Natural Face one was geared towards more tan or medium complexions.

The two palettes feature the exact same items but the colors in the No Makeup Makeup Palette are geared towards to fair to medium tones. I’d say anywhere from an NC25-35 should be ok with the colors in this palette but don’t quote me there as I’m no expert on MAC shades.

You get:

  • Bronzing Veil
  • Crème Blush
  • Powder Blush
  • Concealer
  • Luminizer
  • Brightener

Powder Blush, Creme Blush, Bronzing Veil

Brighten, Luminizer, Concealer

The set also includes three face charts and step by step instructions for getting the look.

You don’t even need the step by step instructions as the palette is EASY to work with. A dab of concealer, a little swipe of blusher, a little luminizer above your eyes, boom, done, perfect!

The look it produces is a fresh, flawless look. I don’t look completely without makeup as the blush is quite bright on my cheeks and I’m heavy handed so I wouldn’t say my look below is completely no makeup looking but it is fresh and pretty.

I really like how the bronzing veil lightens up the popping pink of the blush so if you fear the blush shade it can easily be sheered out using the powder bronzing veil. Plus the veil doesn’t give a muddy appearance…! It’s very suitable for fairer skin or those who aren’t keen on bronzers as the shade is a golden tan versus a traditional muddy orange bronzer.

Now the cream products in with the powders do create a mess. I’d suggest a little plastic wrap over the creams as you work with the powder to avoid major cross contamination and mess!

The cream and powder blushes both have excellent pigment with the bronzing veil offering the sheerest color pay off for the face products. The concealer is pretty sheer so you might want to follow up with a dab of your own concealer for the best coverage. I can use it on days I’m working on eight hours sleep but for the days I’m not, well, I def need more coverage than this can provide. It does have a nice hydrating formula that’s easily to blend and doesn’t crease into my finer lines. A little more coverage and this concealer could easily win a spot on my HG list as it has a really nice creamy formula to work with. The brighten is also a nice cream product which can be used under eyes to diffuse dark circles or on your highbrow to give a lifted, awake look.

This is definitely a nice palette with the perfect array of essentials to take on a holiday. If you’re at the beach or some place where you want super minimal makeup this is a great little array of products that travels super friendly-like and provides all the essentials for a flawless, natural look.

I likey!

After trying it I went ahead and purchased the Natural Palette from Sephora so expect a review on that soon.

If you’re a minimal girl or just want something that you can use to throw together a look the Too Faced No Make Makeup Fresh & Flawless Face Palette is your girl.

It’s available now at Sephora, Ulta, and online at toofaced.com

Quick question, Muse! When would you use the brightener opposed to the luminizer?

    • the Muse

not sure I understand the ? rebecca…you wouldn’t use one opposed to the other as both perform differently…plus it’s all about the look you’re going for…luminizer on highbrow/cheeks perhaps bridge of nose brighten under eyes a little touch on highbrow if you want to slip the shimmer of the luminizer on eyes.

      • Rebecca

Ah, that makes sense! I originally thought that they were interchangeable.

        • the Muse

if you want to use both, use both, if you want to use one, use one 🙂 it’s entirely up to you! both are multitasking on different areas of your face!

  • Nicki

I’m really curious about the Boudoir palette. I don’t know if it would be worth the $46CAD price tag when I already have the Soft & Sexy palette.

  • Eve

I was ready to purchase the first nude face palette they had out but since I saw this one I’m going for it! The fairer shades definitely suit me much better.

  • Stephanie

This looks really cute, great for the days when you want something easy. i will have to get this one.

  • Christina

Muse, what color are you wearing on your lips? It’s pretty and fresh, and pairs perfectly with the face palette.

    Thanks!

  • Karena

Wow, I was also going to ask about what you had on your lips! I’m off to investigate Moxie in Rebel. Love the face palette review, as well. Thanks, Muse!!

  • Caitlin

I have to say–this doesn’t seem like the right blog for minimal makeup lovers, LOL! Nice review, though; I was wondering about the concealer in particular.

  • Tiffany Martin

I like how cool the blushes are, though I’m skeptical of this bronzer. I’m so pale, bronzers are hard for me to wear, though I typically like to contour my jawline to make my face appear smaller >_> Do you do anything like that/have any tips?

    • the Muse

i don’t contour sadly but there is a how to guide to show you exactly where to place the bronzer for the best effect.

  • Icequeen81

likey , even im not into pinks, like the idea the mixed cream and powder blush in one palette, that makes it stay longer

  • Joni

I like the idea of this, but I’m not sure if it’ll be light enough for me. I’m around NC15 or so and most of Too Faced’s face products seem too dark for me.

  • Dea

Love this! The cheeks are a bit (barbie) pink and not very natural but that is not a bad thing! LOL. Thank you soooo much for reviewing so fast :-D. Looks like I need to go get me some make-up this weekend!

    • the Muse

agreed 😀 I was a little too heavy handed dea. my pleasure been trying it out for a week now thought it was time to get a review up! ;-D

  • Madii

Im a W10 in MAC so this is way too dark, as usual. Looks like you overdid it a bit with the blush there! 😉

  • Danii

Now I want it but I would never use the concealer. It’s definitely too dark for me (I’m sickly-pale 🙁 ) but the other products look so nice! I *might* bite if I find it a little cheaper. If not, maybe I’ll splurge when my birthday rolls around, since it will be nice as my birthday is right at the beginning of summer.

  • Shirley

Omg I need this! Except the concealer is way too dark (=> useless) for me…
