Urban Decay Lip Junkie Lipgloss for Spring 2013 (New Shades)

Urban Decay is launching new shades of Lip Junkie Lipgloss for Spring 2013. Obsessed, Trashed, and Flushed aren’t the Naked shades many of you were hoping for but perhaps these bright berries and pinks will make their way into your Spring basket!

These three new shades will become a permanent part of the Urban Decay Lip Junkie Lipgloss Collection for Spring which brings up the range to a total of 17 shades.

New shades:

  • Obsessed (creamy baby pink)
  • Trashed (bright pink shimmer)
  • Flushed (creamy mauve pink)

With a slick, glossy finish and a cool minty flavor I’ve always been a rather big fan of these and I’m always quite happy to try new shades.

But hey, totes agree with those of you who said they should carry the Naked line towards some new lip products. I’m in the mood for nudes and naturals for Spring. Skip the pastels, bring on some gorgeous brown eyeshadow and some shimmering beige lipstick and gloss.

Will you be hauling these shades?

What are your thoughts on the Lip Junkie Lipgloss formula?

These launch January 2013 at Sephora, ULTA, select Macys stores and online at sephora.com, ultra.com, macys.com, beauty.com, and are available now at urbandecay.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Not really a big fan of lip junkie lipgloss. Probably won’t be getting any from the new shades.

I’ll be skipping these; when it comes to basic, dupeable shades, I just do DS. Unless something really “wows” me, I don’t find the extra cost worth it when there are DS products that are just as good (sometimes better) than HE.

These launch… these launch what?! Muse! Don’t leave me on the edge like that!!!

I’m not a big lip gloss girl, but my do I love UD’s lip glosses!

The only one that I am really interested in is Flushed. I loe a mauvey-pink with a purple eye look.

Eh…I don’t like the Lip Junkie formula that much. For some reason, it’s sticky on me. And the filigree likes to detach itself from the cap.

I really like all 3 of these shades especially wanting to try Trashed but I already own alot of the Lip Junkies and admit I never even use them because of certain ingredients I really think UD failed by putting them in these. The scent and minty feel is nice as well as the texture’s feel and they do last a good while and do not get weird runny in warmer weather as some glosses do(I had an extremely embarrassing melty gloss “drip” I was unaware of last Summer till my Mom had to tell me, OMG!!!!) I’m not personally allergic to any ingredient but totally feel UD cheaped out on a few levels since this is considered “luxe” and should not have to have the ingredients they do because the list is not the most “luxe” or even healthiest as they could have done plus could cause issues for others. The worst part is how overpriced these are as well as the cheap packaging. My UD “Junkie” days have seriously halted this past 2012 but I admit the new 24/4 Eye colors now have me kinda drooling….
