About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. could it be? something that doesn’t tempt me from the chanel cosmetic counter? this could be a first. however they do have a Les Exclusifs fragrance called 1932 that is forcing me to drive to the Chanel boutique in Dallas to purchase. Plus there is a new LE illuminating powder that i have to have. even though i will probably never actually use it.

I am with you. I wondered about 1932 and hope you can help me: are these the same strength as eau de toilettes or cologne? I am so intrigues and my local counter doesn’t have them in … thanks in advance for your help. xoxo Beth in Pgh 😉

@Elizabeth – I think they are all eau de toilettes. I own Jersey and Gardenia and they are both toilettes. I think the Exclusifs are in a fragrance arena of their own. They are very unique and dimensional in their scent. I am a floral girl, and these two are definitely that. Many fragrances speak of a top, middle and bottom note that I don’t ever smell. In the case of the LES EXCLUSIFS DE CHANEL I get all the layers all day long. Nothing matches or compares to them. You can order them online at chanel.com – usually free shipping and a sample of something. You can return it if you don’t like it. But you will love whichever one you get. Or you can call a boutique and talk to them. They are well trained and knowledgeable! Good luck and let me know what you get!
