Mark Glimmer Shine Lipgloss

Mark Glimmer Shine Lip Gloss ($12) is a newly brilliantly shiny gloss from the brand launched earlier this Spring that will be available for a limited time.

Available in three shades this limited edition gloss contains a whooping 0.13 oz of product, quite a larger gloss for this price.

Are they worth picking up?

Berry, Nude, Pink

Sure, grab one but not all three. They are pretty sheer so I don’t think you’ll need to grab all three of these but one is well worth picking up.

Shades Available:

  • Pink Glimmer
  • Nude Glimmer
  • Berry Glimmer

If you want color and shine I’d head in for a purchase of Berry Glimmer as it has the most opaque finish of the three colors. The other two provide a good deal of shine but sadly, no color (totally disappointed because I think Nude Shimmer would translate so nicely on lips).

This is the type of gloss you have to pump a few times and apply. It comes with a sponge applicator and for the best results you’ll want to apply at least three layers otherwise it looks and feels a bit dry. I find pumping the applicator in and out of the tube produces the best results for saturating the sponge.

The gloss formula has a plush feel with a bit of tack so it wears quite well throughout the day (at least three to four hours before needing a touch up). It’s quite a comfortable, lightweight texture and provides a good deal of shininess to lips which makes it very appealing. I love a good shiny gloss on my lips! It does have an odd dandelion? taste…I can’t really say what exactly it smells/tastes like and I don’t find it particularly pleasant but it quickly disappears after application.

Overall, Mark Glitter Shine Lipgloss has a fairly decent formula. A bit more pigment would work in its favor but for someone who desires glossiness without a ton of stickiness you’ll enjoy this for sure. Plus the price is right at this larger size.

I’ve never tried Mark glosses, but I think Avon’s are some of the best out there. This doesn’t look quite as exciting as the Avon Glazewear lip glosses, which are to die for.
