The Pretty Powerful Pot Rouge can be used on cheeks or lips and is a universally flattering shade of rosy pink. I can’t begin to tell you how many Pot Rouges I own. They are my favorite cream blushes and that’s saying something considering I’m not a huge cream blush fan.

Bobbi Brown Pretty Powerful Pot Rouge Swatches

This has a dense formula with an emollient texture that has a dewy finish. No worries, don’t get scared of that dewy finish as it blends out beautifully and doesn’t have a shininess to it so all skin types even oily ones can easily use it. I think the dense texture sometimes proves a little challenging to blend as you expect a blush like this to be creamier but no worries, it just needs a little warm up so when it hits skin and you start blending it’ll soften up easily. This texture also aids in keeping it wearing very long and strong. One reason I avoid cream blushes is they tend to fade quickly on me but Bobbi’s Pot Rouge has always had a good long wear with very minimal fading as I reach hour six of the wear.

This shade of rose is very natural and should work on fair, medium, and tan tones. It’s a shade that will work perfectly with a range of tones but I do think it might not be pigmented enough for extra dark tones. The color gives my cheeks a pretty flush of natural pink and couldn’t be introduced at a better time as Spring is the perfect season to get your natural on!

The blush looks really pretty on you! 🙂

I might check this blush when it comes out, but are those sparkles that I see in the swatch?

Ooh definitely ordering this, did you buy that new primer bb is selling? SPF 50 protective face base?

  • JenJ

This is on my list to pick up. Love the Pot Rogues and I love the cause behind the product 😀

  • Wenz

I love when products come out and 100% of proceeds go to charity like MAC Viva Glam… vs 5% (such BS)
Plus even if you dont like it you can pay it forward double time by passing on the blush (and anything else in your stash/ closet you dont need) to a local/ community womens shelter!!

  • Lilo

How did you apply the blush to your cheeks to make it even? Did you just use your finger?

      • Lilo

Thanks! I’ve always had issues with cream blushes so I’ve tried to stay away, but this one seems like a good one to try for a good cause.

I’m not much of a cream blush wearer either lilo! Try it on counter, see what you think! 🙂 they’ll happily apply it for you and you can get a feel for the product! 😀

This is awesome, I am totally purchasing. It’s an organization I would love to donate to anyway, yet I get cute and wearable in return for it? Win win!

I’ve haven’t used much blush before (only having my often used Hello Kitty Graffiti palette ones) nor have I used cream blush but I’m tempted by this. The colour is pretty, and it’s going to a good cause. This would be a good first introduction to Bobbi Brown as well.
