Nip + Fab Complexion Correction Cream SPF 30

Nip + Fab Complexion Correction Cream SPF 30 it appears you’re doing it right! Recently launched in the UK the new Nip + Fab Complexion Correction Cream has made it to the US and the formula appears to be right on target for CC Cream bliss!

Take a look!

Available in Light and Dark shades this budget friendly $14.99 CC Cream is the first I’ve come across that doesn’t feel the need to combine shimmer, glitter, and other highlighting properties with their formula.

For some reason the US market translates CC Cream as being a highlighter with coverage. Anyone noticing this? “CC Cream with an illuminating glow…” No…we don’t want a CC Cream with glow that’s what highlighter is for. Who wants to apply highlighter all over their skin!?

We do however, want a formula that acts as a skincare and a coverage balm all in one and Nip + Fab Complexion Correction Cream seems to have the idea of the formula down.

The gel-like texture of this CC Cream reminds me of a Japanese BB Cream much like Hadalabo BB Cream. Although lightweight it contains perfect medium coverage that will ease minor redness and acne scarring while perfecting skin and creating an overall flawless complexion. Soline provides long term moisture with the aid of Hyaluronic acid that helps to retain that moisture. Oat extract tones skin and keeps it smooth.

I tried it in Light and unfortunately the shade is a tad pasty on my skin or so I thought. I’ll be trying the Dark as soon as I can get to Ulta to pick it up…hopefully Dark is a more medium beige that will be more suitable for my skin tone. Light wasn’t completely bad though as I asked my sister, the harshest critic in the world, if it looked too pale and she said “nope, looks quite natural!”

Wear time is excellent with a solid six hours before showing very MINOR fading. It didn’t oxidize on me and my skin looked as flawless six hours after application as it did six hours before during the first application.

Overall, Nip + Fab seems to have gotten the general idea of a CC Cream down correctly here! Excellent coverage, strong wear, an easy to blend formula that’s hydrating but not greasy or oily so most any skin type can use it, and a cheap price tag too!

Likey!

Good job guys!

Nip + Fab is available at Ulta, and Ulta.com

Anyone try this yet?

I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Good coverage? Interested in trying this 🙂

One question though, Muse. Do BB creams cause you to break out? I tried some of the Korean ones and so far most that I’ve tried made my face broke out after ~1 week of use :(.

    • the Muse

let it’s rare that anything breaks me out…my skin isn’t really sensitive…never really had a break out from a BB Cream before 🙁 sorry!

  • Kira

Finally! A CC cream that is actually close to being a CC cream! It has been added to my wish list. Hopefully companies will start to catch on to what it’s all about instead of putting out tinted moisturizers labeled as ‘BB/CC creams.’ -__-

I wish more BB/CC creams had more shades. 🙁 Those of us who are super fair (or dark) are totally left out of the loop by a lot of brands.

  • Simone

Yay! I can afford this! Lol!
Thanks to your review I will be picking this up 🙂

BB creams, CC creams, what’s next? DD creams for my…;-O

I’m still not really figuing out the differences between foundation with extras (IT), BB creams (Iuse Too Faced), and now the CC cream. THis sounds pretty nice expecially since it doesn’t have that “glow” factor.

I have to agree, all the “brightening” or “glowy” all over face creams are really TOO much unless you are putting a matte foundation over to counter the “OMG I look like the tinman” effect.

WOOHOO!! Thanks for the review, lovely Muse 🙂 I love that it has SPF 30 – finally something I can use and be relieved I’m protected by (instead of wondering if I’m doing damage by only using an SPF 15). I hope it works on my combination skin!

  • Fröken Frodig

Looks like it is on the warmer side shadewise, is it? I’m a pale pink-faced girl, but if its on the neutral side it might work for me in summer.

  • Iris

Hooray for 30SPF. I hope this works for my skintone and am glad it may be used for a variety of skintypes.

  • rosemary

Did you end up trying the dark shade? I tried light and I completely agree with you! I felt pasty as well! Just wanted your input if dark was a bit better?

    • the Muse

did not yet rosemary, Ulta is an hour away and haven’t found it at target yet but will swatch/update when I do. did you like the formula? curious minds!

  • Alli

I LOVE this! On your recommendation I got it and I’m SO glad I did. I love the way it evens out my skin and kind of brightens as well. I got it in dark and while it is a but too dark for my medium skin tone it is blendable- it works. I am going to go get the light to mix the two because to me it’s worth it because of how much I love it.

  • Alli

Oh and for those wondering I have oily skin and this worked very well on me. It set nicely and did not turn oily / greasy looking. It’s great for my very oily skin.

  • Thea

    Hi 🙂
I have to admit, Nip + Fab creates a great natural look with the CC Cream but it’s really difficult to apply the cream evenly!
It dries pretty quickly and gets crumbly & flaky on the face…

I do like the effect it has on my oily skin, but the application is terrible.
Do you have any suggestions how to apply this CC Cream without getting streaks or flaky residue?

    Greetings from Germany~

    • X-Lydia

Good question, Thea! I bought this for the SPF, and I like the way this looks and feels on my skin…*if* I can manage to apply it evenly. Applying a tiny bit and spreading it thinly over a small area at a time seems to work best for me; BB/CC cream isn’t ever going to give the full coverage effect of traditional liquid foundation, so I don’t even try to hide my freckles.

Applying this product with sponge wedges might also help – I haven’t tried yet.
