Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Edge Meister Mascara Review

Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Edge Meister Mascara

Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Edge Meister Mascara is a liquid lengthening mascara lengthens and separates lashes with a glossy black formula.

As a long TIME fan of Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Mascara I must say that I sort of fell off the bandwagon. It used to be my HG (holy grail) mascara for a very long time but too many revisions to the formula was making my head spin a little bit so I found other mascaras to love. Gosh, I hate how that sounds but indeed it happened.

Recently, I decided I’d give the Lash Expander Edge Meister Mascara formula a try and even though I dislike fiber mascaras it seemed like a good idea at the time.

Here are my thoughts!

Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Edge Meister Mascara has the typical black and gold regal looking package that I associate with all good things MJ. It’s one of my favorite lines of makeup from Shiseido and the packaging is one thing that definitely draws me in.

Supposedly this helps to strengthen lashes with macadamia nut oils. I honestly don’t have weak lashes and rarely do they break off but it might be a good pick if you do have such a problem.

As you can see it has a dual duo comb brush which takes a little practice to use. Use the small comb to comb your lashes prior to application as this fans them up and prevents clumping now use the bigger comb to apply the mascara from the roots, wriggling a little as you apply. You can use the smaller comb again after to comb through the mascara. As you can see from my photos it almost looks like the formula has small lashes in it. These fibers have a really long, hair-like quality to them and give your entire look a very fluttery, full lash effect.

It clumps crazily so you have to be a little patience to apply it as you’ll have a uni-lash effect going on aka your lashes clump together and appear to be one piece, seriously, uni-lashes are a real thing!

I think it creates more of a fluttery long look (I did a close up shot but also included a full face one too because I think the close up doesn’t really do the look justice as my lashes are left looking a bit clumpy in the closer shot) but doesn’t supply as much volume as I’d like and I admit it does feel like I have something in my eye when I apply it, typical fiber mascara woe.

On the upside, as with all MJ Mascaras, it provides a super glossy black finish that doesn’t weight lashes down and keeps curl like no one business without flaking or smudging.

If you have weaker, shorter, stubbier lashes this is an excellent way to gain more length and curl however, those wanting volume or those who don’t particularly enjoy fiber mascara might wish to avoid it.

Many online sellers have it close to retail pricing, Adam Beauty is a good place to start as his shipping is fairly reasonable (Not affiliated with this seller).

I purchased this item.

Definitely agree with your comment about how it’s good for weaker and shorter lashes. They sold it as a set with the mascara primer when I was in Hong Kong and I’ve been using it since and loves it!

Muse, I suggest you try MJ’s Lash King. They had a promo here and I picked up a tube on a whim, and oh my god- it’s like falsies. My lashes are quite long, but they lack volume and curl. With this on my lashes are so long they sometimes brush against my glasses!

And it’s waterproof, which I actually like. For some reason I have trouble removing regular mascara. Too much rubbing and I have to go under the shower head for hot water, no likey.

I wish you could do a comparison post on MJ mascaras you own, when you have time~

thanks sanakan! I got the blush from that story but never did get the lash king 😀 I’ll give it a whirl 😀 It sounds incredible! That’s a great idea for a post Sanakan! I’ll see what I can do. I have over twenty formulas at least?! LOL ;-D

Twenty formulas?! I am so jealous! I’ve tried a few since getting into beauty a few years ago, but I’ve only five through five formulas so far (mostly from Etude and Canmake – they work but nothing else gives me the fluttery effect)

I had this obsession with mj mascara a few years ago lol!

Muse you should definately try Lash King. Its my personal HG. I kinda use it everyday
And it looks great! Not fake but fluttery and when I need to go out at night I just apply a few more layers and BAM! Nor falsies needed. I even wore it swimming, it diddn’t give me racoon eyes at all.

I think this looks pretty awesome on you! I can see the effect and it makes me want to try it. 🙂

I like the package. Wish American cosmetic were that cuter and more elegant. Hard candy has nice graphics but their stuff sucks! Am going to have to check out mj mj now. Hehe
