P.S. GoT, Walking Dead, Doctor Who OH MY! I had a rather packed weekend and didn’t get a chance to sit down to any of this awesome yet. I’m dying to know what happened on Walking Dead and don’t get me started on Doctor Who, you know I can babble that until I’m blue in the face. And GoT? My God! So much TV so little time. I hope to catch up at some point this week! Hopefully none were disappointing. I did take a guess that Walking Dead’s finale would be a blood bath but from what I’ve heard so far it appears it went out with a whisper rather than a bang….!

As for Who, I think it’s always an adjustment when a new companion comes into play. I’ve been through so many at this point I should be used to it. But I think that perhaps Clara Oswin Oswald won’t need any adjustment period. She feels like I’ll jump right into her!

Anyway, must catch up soon!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I agree with the companion adjustment period. I feel like since we’ve “met” Clara twice before …I feel comfortable and really like her already! She matches the doctor with her crazy manic speed and wit. Lol. Also over the weekend adventure time (one of my fave shows) joined the Netflix instant watch ranks. (Along w regular show, robot chicken etc) awesome weekend for TV freaks!

    • the Muse

I thought the same after the two eppys she was in, absolutely hyper like him ;-D robot chicken!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! ;-D did you watching GoT? any good? try to catch up on it late tonight I hope!

      • carrie

I’m actually about to watch it right now. Lol. Will let you know soon! : -)

          • carrie

Liked it! Didn’t manage to check up on every character but we did get to meet mance rayder so yay!

          • carrie

Hey muse…speaking of TV shows…have you ever watched the shield?

          • the Muse

i have no I’m more a sci/fi horror buff when it comes to shows and such! I’m not much on cop dramas, is it something I need to see!? 🙂

          • carrie

I hear ya…love sci-fi and horror as well. For my money it ranks in my top 5 favorite shows of all time. Its kind of a show that smacks you upside the head with the plotting and pacing. Not like any other cop show I’ve ever seen. Actually glen mazarra was one of.the main writers and he was the.show runner for this season of the walking dead. Actually Lori Holden (andrea) is a big part of season 7. Don’t know if you like breaking bad at all but I would go out on a limb and say if you like that you will prob like the shield. The first …hmmm…. I would say if you like the first 5 episodes
..you will love it from then on. Each season gets better than the last. Think its on amazon prime streaming as well as hulu plus

          • Nat

OMG YES I loooooove the Shield! Lems was my fave on that show! Muse it is soooooo gewd, you should totally watch it! 🙂

          • the Muse

you guys are bad 😀 I need another telly show like a hole in the head ;D

          • carrie

Well at least the show is over with so you cab watch at your own pace. Although once it picks up steam its very hard to just watch one! And omg lem is the best. The nicest (and hottest) on the show. He’s also been on sons of anarchy. AND he used to be an MMA fighter. Sigh…

          • the Muse

i really wish I had gotten started on sons of anarchy…the flow of MC books has me wishing I watched it from the start and now I feel its too lately to get involved. damnit.

          • Nat

I haven’t watched Sons either, but I have heard it is super good….and yeah it is nice that Shield is all done so Muse you can totally do your own pace. SOOOO GOOD OMG LEMS I LOVE YOUUUUUUUUU *cries*

          • the Muse

things are a little slower in telly land for me so might just strike it up soon however, have a feeling Injustice: Gods Among Us is going to suck the life out of my soul for a few days ;-D so let me get back to you shortly on the Shield ;-D

  • kimkats

I think you won’t be disappointed in GoT. I spent all sunday watching the damn clock waiting for 8:00 to roll around, then I watched the episode 3 times in a row! 😀 That show just rocks my boat. 🙂

  • Jessica

Couldn’t agree more on the “adjustment period” on Dr. Who, but I always end up liking the new person after a few episodes!

    • the Muse

same here, thankfully there has really been a companion I disliked ;-D

  • Fanny

That episode of Doctor Who!! OMGGG! I LOVE their courtship! So spunky and it’s refreshing for the Doctor to be fuddled! Haha
On a more related note, I haven’t tried any of Sonia Kashik’s makeup (I have used the brushes though) so I’m wondering what they compare to in terms of other drugstore makeup.

    • the Muse

can’t wait to see! 😀 the brushes are excellent def look through the archives I have a ton of reviews on ’em!

  • Carly

I have All Covered Up in Ivory (second lightest shade) and I love the way it feels and blends. Unfortunately it doesn’t match my pale cheeks (grrr), it creases under the eyes, and it doesn’t have as full of coverage as the Hidden Agenda concealers have (but it’s still pretty decent coverage). If you like gel-like textures, then you’ll love this. 🙂
Oh and because GoT and Doctor Who make my nerd feelers tingle:
    – Not impressed with the latest Doctor Who episode. It was way too similar to The Idiot’s Lantern. I felt a bit let down that it wasn’t some super epic episode after months of waiting. I like Clara (cheeky little vixen), but I reeeeally don’t like her theme music… it’s too innocent. SO looking forward to next week though in hopes of being blown away. 🙂
    – The kick off for GoT season 3 was amazeballs. Tyrion is sassy as ever, and it was very engaging. Too bad it didn’t have some of my favorite characters though. 🙁 I’m seriously jonesing for some of my fierce ladies.

    • the Muse

carly it sounds not bad….! I might give it a whirl ;-D I don’t use on my face so I’m cool with it under eyes…little worried about creasing but do like gel concealers 😀

oh crap I thought it would be like that. I was worried it wouldn’t be a big enough splash and you’ve confirmed my worries. haven’t watched yet but can’t confirm if it is or isn’t as similiar to TIL. I thought the wifi thing, from what I did read, sounded too corny…could they have done something a little bigger for Clara?! Always feel like the companion music is some variation or another of Rose’s but maybe I have rose’s theme so stuck in my head that’s what I hear 😀 I didn’t watch GOT but love me some Peter Dinklage as as Tyrion so can’t WAIT ;-D I’m sure all our favs will have their turn in the spotlight ;D

OK, not to be a traitor or anything, but I was pretty meh about Doctor Who this week! I like Clara – she has a fiesty-ness that is part Donna Noble but mixed with a really smart side. But I thought the plot was a bit ~meh~ and I’m *still* not in love with Matt Smith. (Now villagers are going to come after me with pitchforks…)

    • the Muse

lol it’s ok, everyone has their own doctor 🙂 I didn’t watch yet…but I love Clara so far! I’m hearing mixed emotions about the pilot, the entire wifi thing sounds stupid to me but hoping for the best?!

    • Nat

You are not alone, so the villagers can come after me too – I think he’s an ugly pineapple head, LOL! I haven’t watched Who since Tennant left 🙁

      • OrangeLipstickBlog

BAHAHA! “Pineapple head!” Well, I will say he isn’t my type in the face. And there’s somthing strange about his voice. I know it sounds weird but it’s almost like when you touch something that’s *just too soft* and it’s overwhelming? Or is that just me with my weird sensory stuff? Anyway, his voice makes me want to shake him and be like “SPEAK UP! You words sound like silk.” Wow, I’ve really out-weirded myself.

        • Nat

I get ya! Kind of like when something is so cute you want to squeeze it hard, lol. 😀

On the concealer – it’s ok and has been around a long time. I had a hard time finding a color I liked and the formula settles in lines a little bit after some wear. It’s similar to Benefit’s Erase Paste IMO. So it looks beautiful right after application but then not so much later in the day, It wasn’t terrible just not hg for me. My HG is the chanel cream concealer with a wand. Also, not a new product but another”go to” is mac select color too. Wow what’s with me and old school concealers. As for Dr who, I’m on the meh – band wagon wasn’t thrilled. Still watched but wasn’t that “into” it.
