Essie Naughty Nautical Collection Summer 2013

Essie Naughty Nautical is a new selection of nail polishes being introduced this June for Summer 2013. Inspired by the breezy days of Summer these six shades of color range from vibrant nautical colors to fun in the sun shades for tips and toes!

Shades:

  • Naughty Nautical (brilliant marine blue green)
  • The More the Merrier (juicy lime green)
  • Sunday Funday (bright tangerine coral with soft shimmer)
  • Full Steam Ahead (pearlescent punch of lilac)
  • The Girl Are Out (soft fuchsia peony sparkle)
  • Rock the Boat (shimmering French periwinkle blue)

The Summer 2013 launches in June 2013 at drugstores.

Any shades you’re loving?

I think I’ll pick up Sunday Funday for a pedicure! Loving the bright coral!

I saw these at Target yesterday! So they might be out in some stores already. I picked up The Girls are Out (Just needed 2 coats) and was eyeing Naughty Nautical but I have so many teal polishes that I couldn’t justify it. I love the subtle shimmer/sparkle in this series.

I saw these at my local target! there were only 2 colors left cause it seems i got there a bit late

Picked up Naughty Nautical & Sunday Funday the other day. Currently have Sunday Funday on my toes, and it’s a lot more red toned than it looks in the bottle, will wait to pass judgement till I’ve tried it on my fingertips.

I was SO excited to get Naughty Nautical but I saw it at Target and it’s not as vibrant as the pictures =( Sad day! Cute collection though~

I just picked some of these up at my local nail supply! It was sooooooooo hard not to just buy every single color because man, they are pretty. I got Naughty Nautical, Sunday Funday, and Full Steam Ahead…so far, lol. Naughty Nautical is so gorgeous – super saturated color that really pops with that special delicate sparkly shimmer. *swoon* Sunday Funday has a really nice balance of pink and coral in it which makes it super wearable (and super pretty!). It also has that beautiful sparkly shimmer. <3 Full Steam Ahead was too pretty to pass up – I have way too many lavenders but seeing this particular shade with those tiny twinkling sparkles won me over…easily, lol!

I am going back for The Girls Are Out. I knew I should have got it but I own a lot of shades that are extremely similar so I hesitated to get it. The sparkle in TGAO seems to stand out especially well <—reason for going to back to get it. 😀 The finish is just so pretty and I don't have anything like it so…I think it's worthy of adding to my stash. I also read reviews that said it had a formula similar to Naughty Nautical and Sunday Funday which both had great formulas.

Rock The Boat is really lovely – a soft pretty blue that is not whitened at all, and again with those lovely tiny sparkles…but some swatches of this shade look very streaky so I am hesitant to get it. I bought the entire China Glaze summer collection before seeing swatches (I fell in love with the colors) and I was painfully disappointed by their truly terrible super-streaky formula. Every single shade except That's Shore Bright (purple cream) had major formula problems. 🙁 And so, I am trying extra hard to steer clear of any problematic polishes…

I might get The More The Merrier – it's a really fantastic bright shade! I just wish it had the lovely sparkles that are in the other 5 shades in the collection. I love chartreuse green so I know I have some in my stash but I think this one *might* be unique.

Any news if these will be released in Canada? I didn’t see either the Cabana or the wedding collection at any of my drugstores in town, and those were both advertised as May releases.

not sure clio sorry, they didn’t give me a Canada release date :-/

I got every color in the summer collection except The More the Merrier, and I must say I am disappointed. I loved the subtle sparkle in the 5 shades I got (I didn’t get the other one because it didn’t have any sparkle in it), but I think the formula is too streaky. I usually go at least 4 or 5 days before having to re-do my nails, but this polish collection started chipping after day 2. The colors are very pretty, but the formula is sub-par.

I caved and got Naughty Nautical… it’s soo pretty! I have it on my toes currently for about a week and haven’t had any chipping issues personally.

I have Rock the Boat. I absolutely love the color. I am disappointed with how much it streaks though. I need at least two coats to make it look halfway decent. Three coats and it looks great. I find that it chips after two days, but all of my polishes do that when on my fingernails. I think this one will be a toenail only polish. I agree with the commenter above, the formula is sub-par.
