Nature Republic Tweety BB Cream Review & Swatches
The new Nature Republic Tweety BB Cream is getting a few poor reviews but I must admit, cuteness aside, I’m actually really liking it. It’s kinda more of a Japanese BB Cream versus a Korean one as it has a gel-like texture but the formula is very comfortable and lightweight perfect for Summer!
Take a look!
This comes in a tiny 1.18 oz size yellow box with Tweety decorating the outside and a variety of other Looney Tune characters on the inside of the box. The BB Cream tube also features a close up shot of Tweety’s cute little face. I admit the novelty of the product was the fact that it had Tweety’s image plastered all over but I ended up liking the formula as well so win win right?
This is actually very sheer for a Korean BB Cream and the gel-like consistency quite reminds me more of a Japanese BB Cream (Japanese brands favor this gel-like formula for many of their BB Creams). It’s very soft, lightweight, and easy to blend with a watery texture once applied and a dewy to the touch dry down that keeps my face moisturized through the wear. It does have a shorter wear time for a BB Cream so you’re looking at around four hours before it starts to fade. I noticed because my face started looking duller at around hour four so was definitely in need of a touch up at this point!
I think the coverage will be disappointing for most who look towards BB Cream for the best coverage available. However, I don’t mind so much as the warmer weather is here so the lighter formula works for me. This perfects but doesn’t really cover issues. It evens out my skin tone, gives my lackluster appearance a brighter look, and perfects my skin for makeup.
There are two shades available I got the darker of the two in Natural Beige. It isn’t a perfect match for me but adjusts decently. The shade is a peachy beige with lighter beige undertones.
The SPF 25 is disappointing so I wouldn’t rely on it for proper sun protection. I’d recommend using your own sunscreen prior to application.
On the downside the coverage and SPF is disappointing but props for the lighter formula that’s more tinted moisturizer than anything else and DO LOVE the packaging. How can I not right?
I got mine from F2PLUS1 on E-bay (not affiliated).
Anyone try it?
