Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick Review & Swatches
Good news for those who have been stalking Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Sticks ($16) they have finally made their way to our side of the pond. These released in the UK several months ago and just recently arrived at Sephora and Sephora.com
Of course, I’m hyped. Chubby pencil anything and I’m on it like white on rice particularly ones by Soap & Glory since I have such brand love for them.
Let’s take a look!
Unlike Mother Pucker Gloss you aren’t going to really get a fuller lip look using these. The Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick are promoted as having a formula that promises fuller lips with the tingle of the plumping gloss…but I honestly didn’t get that.
They have a very subtle vanilla-ish taste and provide creamy color to lips but no tingle, no sting, and no real plumping effect.
What they do have is a creamy formula with a balmy texture that glides onto lips easily. Unlike other balms of this type they actually have a sort of cream-like finish and feel with a sheer yet opaque tinted pigment. They aren’t glossy or shiny but they do have a high sheen finish like most of the balms pencils you’ll come across. They swivel up so no sharpener is needed.
They aren’t really comparable to other formulas I’ve tried due to the creaminess that Soap & Glory’s formula has. They have a moisturizing feel but aren’t extremely hydrating. The finish is smooth and even with a tiny hint of shimmer. The shade I tried, Nudist, was a delightful natural beige pink. Wear time will vary but this formula seems to stick around a solid three to four hours before fading on me which is pretty darn good for a pencil like this.
Worth checking out especially if you aren’t all about the balm but like a bit of creaminess to your lips pencils.
They are available now at Sephora and Sephora.com
