Dior Hydra Life BB Eye Creme Review & Swatches

Dior Hydra Life BB Eye Creme

As you know Dior introduced two new BB Eye Creams one of which is the new Dior Hydra Life BB Eye Creme and the other is the new Diorsnow BB Eye Creme.

With BB Creams being so popular at the moment I was pleasantly surprised to see Dior doing a BB Cream for eyes. Granted, Asia has so many different BB Cream type products including concealers but we have yet to see one here in the US. So indeed, I was quite excited to try this out.

Take a look!

Dior Hydra Life BB Eye Creme SPF 20

This is absolutely fabulous stuff if you’re ok with a sheerer concealer. I personally love a full coverage concealer which I use under my puff, finely lined, tired eyes. My eyes always look rather tired so I rely on concealer to perk them up.

Dior Hydra Life BB Eye Creme is something I can use and rely on for days I got plenty of sleep as I do need a little more coverage than this on the days I’m working on five or six hours of sleep.

Hydra Life BB Eye Creme is everything you’d want in a concealer product. It’s creamy, moist, easy to blend, doesn’t fall into fine lines, doesn’t crease, wears fairly strong at around six hours before showing minor wear…..all great benefits of this little concealer. On top of all that it also contains broad spectrum SPF 20 which is such a rarity in eye creams and concealers.

The joy of the product is definitely it ease of targeting tired eyes. It really perks my eyes up, brightens them, and creates the illusion of way more sleep than I actually had. The brightening effect is one of the best benefits of the concealer in my humble opinion.

On the down side it is expensive at $45. Ouch! You can get better coverage for that price for a heck of a lot less. It’s also available in a single shade of creamy ivory so it won’t be suitable for all skin tones.

Overall, Dior Hydra Life BB Eye Creme is a luxury product with a beautiful formula. I’d probably buy it again should I run out but the price versus the coverage it offers is debatable. But…this is Dior so one would expect to pay more.

For lighter coverage with a formula that applies and blends easily while perfecting eyes Hydra Life BB Eye Creme is a refreshing little way to get tired eyes perky again!

It’s available now at Sephora and Sephora.com

Oh so sad it doesn’t provide more coverage! I have a bit of redness that has to be covered, I’ll have a closer look at this but not sure it would do the job. I would love to have colored spf treatment for the eye area.

Sounds really interesting! I’d really like to try it too, especially after reading this.

I really don’t understand why this product exists-if a BB cream itself doesn’t offer enough coverage why would anyone buy an BB eye cream when they can just use a concealer they already have? So gimmicky… and for that price it doesn’t seem like something anyone needs

The way it’s described and the way it looks just makes me think of YSL’s Touche Eclat… do you have an opinion on how similar they are?

    • the Muse

TE is way creamier D, this is a little drier in comparison and thinner. Have you ever tried the Dior Booster Pen? very similar to YSL TE but way nicer imho! creamy, more coverage, gorgeous stuff ;D

  • Clair@vairclair

A great product the only downside is the price. But never mind i need to use it since there are occasions when its to tough to get the fresh look after a long day at work and going out is a necessity.

maybe im the only one but im getting reallyyyyyy tire with all the BB title. This could be a perfectly fine concealer, but they just have to say it’s ‘BB cream’ concealer.. Haizz these marketing team really love to hype up something then overkill it. Btw, did u know there is a bb cream hair dye now?

    • the Muse

yeah I heard about the bb cream hair dye 😀 and there is new BB Cream leave in hair conditioner from Pantene oy vey ;D

Muse do you know wht’s the difference between this one and the Diorsnow BB Eye Creme?

I thought they are the same buy seems not!

    • the Muse

i’m not sure i haven’t tried my diorsnow one yet…as far as I can see they seem very similar but I believe the snow actually treats dark circles (or so they say haha) not sure on the color differences though! I’m gonna try and review the Diorsnow one shortly.

  • Sara

Hi , I found your blog while looking for the difference between diorsnow bb for eyes and hydra life bb for eye.
Did you try yours and discover the difference?
I bought this one and in my country it’s available in 2 shades, shown at Dior’s website.
I like the coverage, it’s good enough for me and doesn’t feel so sheer. It conceals naturally and beautifuly without that artificial look.

    • the Muse

i haven’t tried it yet sara, plan on reviewing soon. I’m glad you’re enjoying it 🙂

    Hi !
would you recommend this for the upper eyelid also ?
I have pigmentation on this area and normal concealers sometimes effect the application quality of eyeshadows, making them crease, stick in one place and hard to move, hard to blend etc..
do you think I’d be okay with this product for both upper and lower eye area ?

thanks for the review also !

    • Isabella Muse

sure you can use on your upper lid should you want to 🙂 my pleasure 🙂 I’m glad the review was helpful!
