Stila CC Color Correcting Stick for Fall 2013

Stila CC Color Correcting Stick

Stila’s new CC Color Correcting Stick that launched today might feel a little familiar. This new color correcting stick looks very similar to the new Maybelline Fit Me Shine Free Stick Foundation launching later this Summer for the Fall 2013 season.

Although Stila’s version promises to neutral redness so those suffering from redness are bound to love this foundation stick that addresses the issue with a green neutralizing shade built right into the core of the stick!

Stila CC Color Correcting Stick promises to correct redness while giving the appearance of brighter looking skin. The formula promises buildable color with a creamy glide on formula that provides excellent color pay off in a long lasting formula.

The green core corrects redness and is made of an variety of skin loving ingredients that promote more even skin tone.

Dermaxyl is also included in the formula and aids in fighting fine lines and wrinkles.

Benefits:

  • Green core color corrects & helps reduce redness
  • Antioxidant-rich Gamma Oryzanol contains photo-aging protection properties
  • Dermaxyl peptide technology helps reduce the appearance of fine lines
  • Licorice extract helps brighten skin and reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation
  • Stabilized Vitamin C & green tea extract help brighten the skin & provide antioxidant benefits
  • Vitamin E helps smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, decrease dryness and increase moisture retention
  • SPF 20 UVA/UVB broad spectrum protection
  • Oil-free and paraben free

Stila’s CC Color Correcting Stick ($38) is available in eight shades and can be purchased at www.stilacosmetics.com

I love the idea but they limit who can use this by including the green core. I personally don’t have redness and I know from experience green neutralizing shades give me a pasty finish so I’m unsure how this will do for my skin.

Thrilled!!! Already ordered. I have horrible red in my skin and there aren’t enough make up product for me that work. Nice to finally have something geared towards my skin problem.

Color correctors never seem to work for me, possibly because I’m super fair. They just stay green (or yellow or whatever) on my skin, no matter how carefully I apply and blend.

I’m super fair as well and green primers are basically the worst ever for me– I prefer to not look like a green monster. However, I’ve had excellent success with Stila’s One Step Correct primer. It’s a blend of green, lavender, and peach in a clear base. It does an incredible job of lessening the redness in my face. It doesn’t completely cover blemish related redness but it certainly helps. It blends really well and because of the mix of colors there is no green cast (a little goes a long way). I highly, highly recommend it for people with fair skin.

This sounds great! i hope it is available international and can’t wait to get my hands on one. 🙂

The model in this video has perfect skin, before the foundation is ever applied! Not a very helpful demonstration…

I have it and loooove it but I’m acne prone as all hell and must know is it really, really 100% oil free??
I sure hope so, because it doesn’t feel that way but I so love it!

I had to laugh at how Stila is marketing this as innovative on their website. Those green sticks have been around FOREVER! Really nothing new about this. As AnniLau said above, those green correctors never did much for my skin either. Glad you’re having a kickass summer Muse! Enjoy your outings 🙂

I’m the model and I have terrible skin; redness and blemishes galore! It really evens me out.

I went on the Stila website and it’s funny but the Light shade looks lighter than Fair. Also wondering what the shade called “Tone” is. I want to place an order, but don’t know what shade to order. Has anyone ordered the shade called “Tone”?

  • rhiannon

I’m the model and have terrible skin LOL LOL but thanks <3 its actually amazing!

  • rhiannon

I have tone, I’m pale as you can see and its good just gives a tan bright look on pale skin! Its super luminous!

  • Candy Coated Cashmere

I just started purchasing BB creams! LOL! I can’t keep up. I will wait a while before trying CC creams. I have enough concealers to correct any trouble areas on my face.

  • Hoshisma

I already had a chance to try this on my deeper skintone (Lancome TIU24H 530 or MAC nc50) and the green left no ashiness. I was actually surprised to have a color for my skin tone. It feels like nothing and does a good job of evening out my face.
