L’Oreal Evercurl Hydracharge Cleansing Conditioner Review
Hey Wen fans, anyone see the new L’Oreal Evercurl Hydrachange Cleansing Conditioner ($6.99)? Yup, that’s right a new cleansing conditioner available right at your drugstore.
I adore Wen so when I noticed L’Oreal was doing a similar style product I decided to give it a whirl
L’Oreal EverCurl Hydracharge Cleansing Conditioner is a new gentle way to cleanse and condition curls in a single step. Considering Cleansing Conditioners aren’t really the norm at the drugstore I found this pretty intriguing.
According to L’Oreal it’s a low lathering creme cleanser which helps reduce frizz, restore moisture, and make hair more manageable with hydrating botanicals. It has a light unisex fragrance that’s quite pleasant and reminds me a little of coconut and a little of sandalwood. The texture is quite creamy but not nearly as thick as Wen’s Cleansing Conditioner. It actually feels lighter in my hair than Wen’s version. L’Oreal suggests 8 pumps or more for longer, thicker hair. I have super long, drier hair with tons of waves and curls so this was an ideal solution for me. It washes clean away and I didn’t experience the lather they speak of, it pretty much works in the same fashion as Wen as you simply work it through your hair and rinse it out. It’s suppose to act as both a shampoo and conditioner in one. My hair felt fairly clean after rinsing (it rinses out very easily!) plus it was soft and definitely had fewer tangles. After nearly two weeks of use I don’t feel like it caused any major build up either.
It’s sulfate-free, contains no parabens, and according to L’Oreal it is 100% Vegan with no heavy waxes or harsh salts.
I gotta say I LIKE it. A lot! If you have longer wavy, curl, drier, or frizz prone hair I’d recommend checking it out.
