Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream Review

Origins GinZing Eye Cream

Just for the record no matter how much sleep I get I always want more my eyes always look terribly exhausted!

I consider it a sign of old age because I don’t remember having a case of sleepy eyes in my teens. As I recall they were all bright eyed and bushy tailed prepared to meet the day with a smile. Now they are all, “aw hells no today is Monday?”

So I suffer from the typical age old issue of dryness, minor darkness, puffiness, and just generally tired looking eyes.

Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream ($30) promises to brighten and depuff while acting like a double shot of espresso for my eyes. By the way did I every tell you how much I hate coffee but love Starbucks Iced Hazelnut Macchiatos? But the damn thing gives me heart palpitations! For serious.

Late nights, gaming, and too many hours online will definitely give my eyes a tired look which is why I’m always searching out concealers and eye creams to perk my eyes up. I personally suffer from minor dark circles when I’m tired, puffiness even on a good day’s rest, and finer lines with dryness so I typically navigate towards eye creams that promise to address all these concerns.

If I was ten years younger Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream would probably be for me. This eye cream contains natural optic brightens which gives it its pale iridescent sandy pink shade. These brightening optics basically attract light and give the illusion of a brighter more awake eye look! It actually works fantastically great however, for my finely lined eyes the optic brighteners are a wee bit like a spotlight that glares down on my fine lines. Not a good look! I’ve never really been a fan of using highlighters or concealers with mica under my eyes and this kinda acts the same manor as those. If you’re eyes are younger and less finely lines than my own chances are this will be a great perk up as it brightens very well and you can easily see the effects visibly in many different light sources. So if you suffer from dark circles or just tired eyes do to a late night studying this might just help to give you a brighter more wide awake appearance.

It contains Caffeine from Coffee bean which is an excellent way to address natural puffiness caused by gaming, late nights, or staring at a computer screen for one too many hours. It also contains Panax Ginseng and Magnolia Extract which refreshes and restores radiance to tired eyes.

The texture is a runnier yet gel-like consistency that absorbs easily under skies offering delicate hydration. It wears well under concealer allowing for ease of application and making a good base for those with drier eyes who need a smooth eye cream to ease the way for their concealer.

Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream is an excellent eye cream for those in the twenty to mid twenty range and makes for an excellent way to restore a little radiance to those tired eyes.

It’s available now on counter, in store, or online at www.origins.com

Have you every tried tired it?

What sort of eye creams do you use to wake tired eyes up!?

P.S. Anyone watch Under the Dome? I was trying to play catch up with it this morning on my way to work but couldn’t get into it. It’s one of the few Stephen King novels I haven’t read.

I watched it… Eh I don’t know. It apparently had amazing ratings but it didn’t really do anything for me. It was kinda boring. I need drama and shirtless hunks to keep me entertained lol. Make sure you get my comment in the reader thread 😛 I posted something u could use with this eye cream 😀

    • the Muse

      • Cj

        • the Muse

I thought he was like 20 at the most. you can def pop it in the fridge to cool it down ;D

          • Cj

There there ill console him… Make it all better 😉 OMG I KNOW! He’s always looked super young. I saw a youtube clip of him in some judge show when he was 17. He looked 12!

          • the Muse

            Derek 4ever!

Also, that first ‘Under the Dome’ episode was really just setup for future events, so it *should* pick up. Someone told me they were planning a second season though and I had a very side-eye moment. Yeah, it’s a big book, but they managed to wrangle The Stand into a mini-series with no problems.

I did feel bad for the cow.

          • the Muse

lol! I’m glad Derek is getting a slight love interest this year…the teacher is cute ;-D LOL I felt bad for the cow too. Mmmm I never read the novel tbh….it’s one of the few King’s I skipped out on. After actually seeing the first episode (or at least some of it) I got curious about reading it as I was thinking the book had to better than the series. I’m hoping it gets better! It was a little bit of a snore…! but I do love me some Jeff Fahey so that might make me stick around ;D
            Jeff Fahey

Given Derek’s history with women, this one will probably turn out to be the dark druid…or at least have ties to whoever it actually is.

          • the Muse

they haven’t really elaborated on his love life much so I have hopes for him ;D

          • Cj

Woah woah woah woah. Lets not even go there. Stiles and Derek are meant for each other. STEREK FOREVER!

          • the Muse

LOL! true…I love there cutesy interviews together, it’s love ;-D

          • the Muse

ps did you see danny offer to deflower Stiles? AWWW! why do I always spell it styles…head desk!

          • Cj

I can totally see stiles being bi. He seemed genuinely willing when Danny says he’d help him 😉

          • the Muse

that’s so delicious ;-D hehe! Although I think they are prob gonna stick Danny with one of the twins….!

          • AnniLau

But the girlfriend we do know about killed almost Derek’s entire family!

          • the Muse

ah meh kate isn’t nothing I blame the big bad uncle wolf ;-D who also happens to be rather hot.

  • Michelle

I tried the GinZIng eye cream and thought it was ok. I didn’t think it was moisturizing enough for my dryer areas.
I like Algenist Complete Eye Renewal better. I think it hydrates really well and makes those pesky fine lines (from where I smile, near my cheeks and eye bone) smooth out a bit. HATE the packaging though – I mean who wants to dip their fingers into a product? Ewww.

    • the Muse

i haven’t tried the algenist yet but heard good things! ;D

      • Michelle

Ooh, I think you’d like it.
I mean besides the crappy packaging, it’s really nice. 😀

        • the Muse

i know..sigh jars suck! I think companies intentionally put them in jars so we’ll rebuy sooner lol!

  • Celine

Since this is like a gel, can you put it in the fridge for days when your extra tired or when its hot?

  • Jennifer

I got a sample of this from Sephora and it seems to be working okay, but I haven’t been using it continuously. I’m new to eye creams, so I’ve been all over the place testing things! Also, Isaac Lahey, that is all.

    • the Muse

Team isaac! wahooo! ;-D I constantly testing eye creams 🙂 good luck in the search!

  • Caroline

I haven’t tried this eye cream, but my Origins GinZing moisturizer is supposed to arrive in the mail today!! By pure coincidence, I received a free sample of it in the mail on Saturday and loved it! Can’t wait to have the whole jar.

Also, I saw (most of) Under the Dome and didn’t love it. Some of the effects were pretty cheeseball and overall it just didn’t grab me. I still might watch the next episode to see if it gets better, though.

    • the Muse

yay! i really enjoyed the moisturizer ;-D good stuff great for Summer. I got 30 minutes in and yawned ;-D I’m going to dry and finish it up and go with the 2nd eppy…because things def prob could improve but I’m not holding my breath ;-D

  • Josephine

Hey! Im 23 and Im looking for a eye cream to prevent aging, most of the eye creams I found are really heavy as they seem to target aging skin, any suggestions? The origins ginzing doesnt seem to have anti aging properties.

  • Iris

I saw Under the Dome and liked it. Doesn’t hurt how the male lead is cute. I’ve been meaning to read the book and will do so soon.

I’ve been using Sephora’s Instant Depuffing Roll-On Gel, which is working very well for me. This Origins product does sound good.
