Avon Mega Effects Mascara Launches With a Wow!

Avon Mega Effects Mascara is a brand new mascara breakthrough with what Avon calls a Wonderbrush. Yeah, that sure does look wonder! It also looks like I’d likely poke an eye out with it and possibly multitask with it by using it as a hair brush. Damn I love multitasking products don’t you?

Avon Mega Effects Mascara Fall 2013

P.S. Did you see last week’s True Blood episode? More about that after the jump!

In all seriousness, Avon Mega Effects Mascara ($10) is rather wow apsiring. This new formula promises up to 24 hours of volume with a pigmented formula that leaves lashes darker. The Wonderbrush promises to provide denser, dramatic, more fuller lashes as it fits the natural shape of lashes and coats them from root to tip with a clump-free, water-proof mascara formula.

Do I buy the promise of all that volume?

Not sure yet but the video is promising but likely the model is wearing falsies to make this over hyped mascara look extra awesome!

But I’m all hands on board for this one. I love innovative products and Avon Mega Effects Mascara sure does bring the innovation wouldn’t you agree?

P.S. I think I saw Sookie boobage early this morning as I tried to catch up on True Blood. (o)Y(o)

I’m so immature.

Apparently Ben Flynn was sucked into the W0W vortex and happens to be a major W0W geek. I was in love with him before I knew that but now that he got Sookie’s shirt off and he plays W0W well, we probably need to get married and have childrens soon.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. I hope you do a review for this! I’m curious how the brush feels while using it, because it looks like it might poke people in the eye. I already do that with normal masacara wands! XD

    • the Muse

  • Stephanie C.

This looks kind of crazy but I feel like I might love it, LOL. I bet once you get the hang of it it’s not too difficult to use. Can’t wait to see what you think!

Mine is in the mail. I had to try it after all the hype. Lots of Russian blog reviews. I can’t wait to try it.

Got this today, did a trial run. So far, not so good. I got it all over the place. It was hard to get my upper lashes without smudging it on my eyelid and bottom lashes. I had a lot of cleaning up to do. Also, it was a fairly wet formula which my lashes don’t like. The big bummer was after going to the chiropractor it smudged all over the wax paper I lay my face on. I told my dr. I was test driving new mascara. When I rolled over, she went “Uh oh!” LOL! I had major smudges under my eyes. That never happens with Tarte Lights Camera Lashes which is my usual mascara. I know there’s a learning curve with the brush so I’ll give it a few more tries. Just not on adjustment days!

I’m curious too,I’m all for new ways of making my lil lashes stand out. I used to love Maybelline Stylist mascara that had a comb, now since it’s disc.
I need a new replacement, maybe this will be it 🙂

  • Leiry

I received mine yesterday and in all honesty it doesnt do much for me in terms of volume or lengthening the mac zoom fast black lash works better for me.

  • Tomara

it’s so interesting how everyone’s lashes are different. i used it and while i’m not sure if it added volume, it did lengthen.

the only things i didn’t like about it was the plastic brush and how wet it was, that’s just because i notice my lashes don’t do well with really wet formulas or plastic brushes.
