Sephora VIB Rouge Membership

Sephora VIB Rouge

I hit Sephora VIB Rouge status, my life is complete now. What’s Sephora VIB Rouge? It’s a brand new step up in Sephora’s Beauty Insider Membership that has some pretty awesome perks behind it.

Take a look!

Sephora’s Beauty Insider reaches a new high with VIB Rouge!

The Sephora Beauty Insider loyalty rewards program has always been a great program. Check it at Sephora and Sephora.com and upgrade your Beauty Insider status with the relaunch of the program on August 12th.

“We are excited to announce the relaunch of Sephoras loyalty rewards program, Beauty Insider,” said Sephora Chief Marketing and Digital Officer, Julie Bornstein. “The programs revamp gives clients more of everything they love: deluxe samples, first-to-buy access and intimate experiences with top beauty influencers. And they can access these privileges quickly and easily on the new Sephora To Go App.”

The newest and prestigious level of Sephora’s Beauty Insider Membership is VIB Rouge for the most fervent of beauty junkies! This ultimate level of beauty rewards is exclusive to those who spend $1000 in a calender (psffttt that’s pennies for us beauty junkies right?). It also opens the doors to many new reward experiences. The chic red VIB Rouge is just one of the cool features of this program!

You’ll also be invited to limited list events with brand founders and celebrities as well as access new products, free shipping at Sephora.com and Sephoa.ca, unlimited complimentary services at the Sephora Beauty Studio and your own beauty concierge hotline.

As for regular Beauty Insiders no worries you get a revamped experience as well with a program that now features new ways to use your points, members-only beauty classes, first access to the most coveted new products in beauty and more, plus all the benefits members currently love – like the free birthday gift!

This week from August 12th to the 18th Sephora celebrates YOU with double point purchases for BEAUTY INSIDERS, triple point purchases for VIBs and quadruple point purchases for VIB ROUGE members!

Plus transfer your newly acquired points to friends and family for access to rewards that money alone cant buy, like a chance to score a special 5K or 10K once in a lifetime reward, such as a trip for two to Paris with Make Up For Ever or the Marc Jacobs Beauty Collection tucked into a Marc Jacobs handbag.

Learn more by visiting Sephora.com/Rouge.

I’m nearly at 5,000 points at the moment so combined with my best friend Jai’s we might just score that trip to Paris! w00t! Wonder if we can do it?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. OMG I had no idea that’s what it requires to become a VIB Rouge>>>$1000.00 spent in a calendar year… I became a Rouge a few weeks ago! LOL

  • KT

Oh gosh! I honestly could not imagine making it to even 1k, let alone 5k or 10k! those prizes are absolutely CRAZY. hehe I really hope you get that Paris trip (:

  • Chelsea

I definitely can’t imagine getting to Rouge status! I did celebrate by making a triple point purchase (I have Sephora Flash, so free two-day shipping), but I might make another… the lightest shade of the Nars Radiant Cream Compact Foundation was light enough for me now that I’m a bit darker for summer, but I also purchased UD Naked Skin.

  • LINDARRAGNAR

If I had it my way, my twin and I would be at rouge status. We are at the VIB status which is quite nice since we are so broke!!! ;-p

Hopefully you guys win, I bet there aren’t too many people who have over 5,000 points!

  • Megan

Okay…I’m going to vent and be bitter for a minute..I called about one of the 5,000 rewards at 9:00 am today, pst, exactly. Was put on hold for 2 minutes…and lost the reward to someone else (who presumably called a few seconds before 9?). So I wouldn’t start planning that trip soon…it’s probably gone!
The good news is that they gave me 100 points (forget the 5,000 points I already have). One person’s opinion…the idea of the promotion is great…but the net result will be a very small number of happy people and a large number of unhappy customers who used to spend a lot at Sephora…but might shift elsewhere (not that I’m super bitter or anything but…seriously…what were they thinking….?).

    • the Muse

ouch sorry megan! I guess I should start using my pts before I miss out. nearing 5000 myself and was going to wait a little to use them but I better not think too hard!

      • megan

Not if you’re trying for one of these prizes! And we’re only allowed to try for one…so I can’t even aim for another…Hmmm….maybe I’ll call and try… Oh well, the last thing I need is more makeup! Thanks for the support and forum!

        • the Muse

hey megan! who knew they would go so fast!? Good Luck! I hope you get something for all your points!

  • amy

I actually had nearly 4,000 points last Summer, but I hadn’t cashed any of them in for quite some time (nothing was ever worth it…). While that may have seemed like alot, according to my calculations (and CC statements, LOL), there should have been more. I don’t know if points “expire”, or they were never added to my account, but I don’t bother much with it anymore. I also find myself shopping at Sephora alot less these days, as they don’t carry full ranges of any brand, and the selection varies too much between stores. I much prefer direct counters for certain brands, and if I’m forced to buy online, I’d rather buy from the brand and get the full range, or ebay if I can get a steep discount. That said, I did just sort of stumble into VIB status a few weeks ago, so I plan to use my 10% on a few things next month, and perhaps indulge in the next F&F sale if there is one, since I plan to do a foundation “overhaul” around that time, anyway.

When I hit VIB status last year (on New Year’s Eve I think), I felt very accomplished. I’m not sure if I’ll ever make it to VIB Rouge, but it’ll be fun trying.

  • Theresa

Megan, the same thing happened to me. I dialed the minute before noon (eastern time) and was already on hold at exactly noon. I waited less than 30 seconds and an operator came on. I told him that I would like to redeem my points and for what prize and he said I was to be put on a waiting list.

Last night I got the same email that said it went to somebody else and that I would get 100 points added to my beauty bank as a consolation prize.

This was really just a sweepstakes and let the luckiest and fastest person win, in my opinion. Especially pooling points together, a lot of people can garner 5000 points and there must have been 10’s of thousands of people all calling in at 9 am PST.

I have 8100 points currently and really would have liked to try for the Paris prize, but would not spend 1900 just for a slim chance, and especially with the quadruple points this week. I think there would have been a better chance getting a 10,000 point prize.

Darn, Amorepacific! I spent 2,000 points the week before the contest was announced on fantastic 100 point 8 ml samples of the Time Response cream. And, I never spend any of my points, ever. Those are the breaks!

    • megan

I agree…sweepstakes…and I think they must have taken entries from people who called in before 9:00. Whatever. I don’t need any of the prizes. But I felt like the 100 point consolation prize …for being one of their best customers…is a joke. I wrote back and complained…didn’t hear back. Glad to have others to share their experiences. Makes me feel better. Not a good promotion…in my opinion.

  • Angel

Woo hoo Muse! Congrats!! I’m seriously jealous but still very excited for you. Hope you get something amazing 🙂

  • Cream

I became Rouge within a week on my holiday in NYC. Unfortunately I’m from Germany, so I don’t get any of the benefits from it ..

  • Theresa

errr…I meant future response not time response! Big difference in price, lol.

Muse, good luck, I hope you and your friend get the Paris prize!

    • the Muse

one can hope! 🙂 I’m greedy as I just got from paris and looking to go back haha!

  • Kimmwc03

I’m a Rouge. I’m kind of shocked that I’ve spent that much. Then again, maybe not. I don’t have too many points though as I always find something I want to use my points on so I am not too good at saving them. Oh well. 🙂

  • Debster

You know you play too many video games when you think “isn’t it suppose to be rogue, not rouge?” /facepalm

  • Christina

I love the free shipping at any order amount!!!! I often didn’t order from Sephora b/c I didn’t want to spend $50 to get free shipping and my item was only like $20. I ordered a lot from Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom b/c of their free shipping all the time, but definitely am back on the Sephora train now!

  • Michou

OMG I finally had the money to make a purchase from Sephora online…. on FRIDAY. So, I guess I’ll just have to make another to take full advantage of the triple points I’ll get. 😛

Congrats on hitting VIB Rouge! With any luck I’ll get there next year. 😉

  • shellypea

Drat! I have a ridiculous number of points and wanted to try for the Marc Jacobs bag and makeup!

    • megan

That’s what I tried for…got through a few seconds after 9:00 (when the promo started) and didn’t get it! Oh well….I’m actually over it now….

  • Michelle

I am a rouge myself Muse! I had no idea that I spend as much as I do in a year’s time but during the last F&F sale I went a bit nutty. I am trying to have some self control until the Fall F&F sale. I keep marking things on my loves list and I will have to plan strategically to purchase online so I can try to hide my MASSIVE hauls from my husband. I hope that you make it to Paris!

  • kimkats

Lol – I am proud that I make VIB every year for the past few years; I think I’d have a stroke if I ever his Rouge status! Congrats tho Muse!!! Hope you get a positively spectacular reward from sephora for it! 🙂 (iz secretly gellus of u…)

    • the Muse

I shares Kim ;-D I’ll give you a few of my pts so you can get Rouge status 😀

  • Cj

So what is there for us if we combine ours? a mansion? private jet? Small island? I’m closing in on 7k lol. I’m happy about the free shipping no matter how much you spend now, might steal away some of my nordstrom hauls xD

    • the Muse

we have all that already….! We need something better…something huge…that would be 12k…I’m saying our own sephora store with SAs at our beck and call ;-D

  • Cindy Ramirez

Well after reading through the comments about trying to redeem for prizes, that really freaking sucks! They should have warned people it was going to be like trying to call into a radio show to be number 9 to win those BSB tickets. 😛

  • Erin Nicole Cochran

Right now I’m at the second status, but if you were to get to Rouge status would you have to spend ten thousand dollars at sephora to get the Paris trip, or just 10,000 points, since I know that there are triple and quadruple days for points?

  • olivia

So far have you gotten any perks or special emails from Sephora for being a VIB rouge?

I just made a huge purchase during their new “employee appreciation” sale and I’m about $150 from rouge!
I technically don’t need anything else, nor should I be buying anything else either, but is the membership worth it?
