Smashbox Fade To Black Waterproof Shadow Liner

Sultry eyes for Fall await you with the two new limited edition Smashbox Fade To Black Waterproof Shadow Liner launched for the Smashbox Fade to Black Fall 2013 Collection.

Fans of Smashbox Waterproof Shadow Liner will adore these two new shades and hey, if you never tried them before now is a good time to start.

Take a peek!

Smashbox Waterproof Shadow Liner ($22) are a chunky dual sided pencil that contain a creamy shadow/liner on one end and an extra large smudger on the other. These fierce and fabulous multitaskers are available in Blackest Black and Black Gold which are two limited edition shades that launched with the Fade to Black Collection. Not your colors? No worries Smashbox introduced the Waterproof Shadow Liner formula about a year ago five other shades that are part of the general catalog. But I can’t see you not wanting these colors as they are fabulous!

Black Gold is a little misleading on the name but you def do not want to miss this gorgeous shade of golden olive I’m wearing it below). Blackest Black is a rich deeply pigmented black. Personally Black Gold is kinda my fav of the moment as I ADORE rich, deep greens like this.

Now the formula is something to really rave especially if you have issues with cream eyeshadow. These are creamy, easy to apply and blend, and wear long, strong, and hard! I’ve been testing them in humidity, heat, and they wear hardcore throughout the day without creasing, fading, or losing their intensity. Seriously, once they set they set to a bulletproof finish that doesn’t budge! You have plenty of time to play with these as well prior to setting so blend, build, and play to your hearts content. Give it a few seconds and BAM! Bulletproof! I have drier lids and didn’t have a problem but I also had a friend with oily lids test out the black and he didn’t have an issue with them in the least.

I don’t really multitask with them and enjoy shading more than anything else with the pencil but if you want you can also line, define, or use these as a base for powders as well. You can definitely get two to three jobs done with this little pencil which enables to act as a base, shadow, and liner all in one.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I swatched these at ulta yesterday – holy cow! after washing my hands multiple times, taking a shower, applying hand lotion and then washing my hands again, these babies were STILL on when I woke up this morning.

I just got my first MUFE Aqua Shadow pencils in the mail today, but I might have to check these out, the black gold is off the chain.

I’ve been using these for a few years now (they’ve been available at the Q longer than at Sephora) and they stay forEVER on my very oily eyelids. These are my go-to shadow/liners when I need my makeup to stay on from morning until night.

Very pretty! Wondering if that black gold color would look good on my blue eyes though. I have such a hard time wearing lots of dark colors,,,whenever I try, I end up looking like I belong in an Alice Cooper video! lol! (even tho my hubby would love that,,,he loves ‘The Coop’.)
