Take a peek!
Housed in a massive pouch wristlet the Tarte Beauty Without Boundaries Set includes five full size Tarte products as well as two full size brushes. The cute clutch has a multicolor zigzag design and a wrist strap for using as a little purse of sorts should you desire.
The main focus, in my opinion, of the set would be the new Tarte BB Tinted Undereye Corrector that’s available in your choice of shades. Also included in the set is Tarte’s popular BB Tinted Treatment 12 Hour Primer (SPF 30).
The set really concentrates on base makeup products so if you’re expecting color this set unfortunately does not have much of it. Tarte created the set with a more fresh, natural look in mind. They also kept things simple so you can get your face on in the AM and go. You get the essential products you’ll need to create a super fuss-free look that won’t take you all day to create.
Here’s the break down of everything included:
- Tarte BB Tinted Treatment 12-hour Primer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 (Choice of shades)
- Tarte BB Tinted Undereye Corrector (Brand new launch) (Choice of shades)

- Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Waterproof 12-hour Inner Rim Liner in Black
- Tarte Lip Surgence Power Pigment in Awakening (rose pink)

The set is available on QVC auto delivery which means you’ll get new seasonal shades shipped to your door in December and March. The only color product in the set is the Lip Surgence Pencil but the next shipments will include eyeshadow palettes and one will even include blush! How crazy is that?!
Tarte BB Tinted Treatment is a product I’ve reviewed in the past and loved. It does feel like it was reformulated (I tried it when it first launched). It’s creamy now with less of a whipped texture. I absolutely adore how it creates this sheer yet natural layer of coverage on my face that’s lightweight and breathable. This acts a hybrid primer slash foundation product as it blurs the appearance of pores and fine lines, even filling them do the the silicone-like texture while evening out skin tone. It isn’t a full coverage product but it will give already good skin a nice healthy appearance and finish.
When selecting your shade in the set you’ll be choosing from the BB Tinted Treatment shades and Tarte will give pair that shade up with a complimentary shade of the new Tarte BB Tinted Undereye Corrector. I thought the colors a touch too peachy or dark for me from the shades I recently reviewed and tried out for you. I’ve been experimenting with this daily and I finally figured out the key to the best application is using the Undereye Brush included with this set for application.
Fair and Light
You have to remember this isn’t a concealer even though it is pigmented. It acts as more of a corrector and the shades are created to diffuse the look of dark circles but I think the darker shades will prove a problem for those with fairer skin. I tried Fair to Light and Medium to Fair and ended up mixing the two to get a more suitable match for my skin tone. The texture is a creamy, emollient formula that’s quite thick. It has an excellent wear and adheres well under my eyes without creasing or fading up. It actually starts out pigmented but sheers out as you blend. My issue with it was I wanted a more brighter, fresher look under my eyes and I didn’t quite get that from this. You can read more about it in my original review that can be found here.

For those struggling with the corrector here’s a tip from pro makeup artist Erin Griffin:
The best results are achieved when you apply this under your primer and/or concealer and not over it. The peach tones counteract darkness, redness and sallowness under the eyes and work as an eraser so that you can apply you foundation/primer/concealer on an even-toned canvas. Also, a little bit goes a long way, so after I use the brush, I take my ring finger and gently dab”the warmth of my finger helps blend everything together seamlessly.
As any good Tarte fan I love the Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara however, I enjoy the Lights, Camera, Flashes Mascara just as much. This includes a full size Tarte Lights, Camera, and Flashes Mascara. Flashes has a little bit of a crunchy, stuff feel on dry down but it still manages to hold curl and has a blacker than black formula that gives lashes plenty of volume. It does a fairly great job creating not only length but volume as well so lashes appear fuller and fatter. It removes easily for me and doesn’t smudge or flake on my drier eyes. Tarte includes the perfect companion piece to the mascara with the Lights, Camera, Lashes Waterproof Inner Rim Liner in black. This is SUPER pigmented liner with a soft, creamy texture that glides onto lashes without tugging or skipping. It is truly dramatic eyeliner and creates a beautiful even line across lashes and works a treat on the waterline without fading away quickly.
For lips Tarte puts in a Tarte Lip Surgence Power Pigment in Awakening which is a rose pink. This has a satiny almost semi-matte finish shade. It comes in a swivel up tube so no sharpener is needed. If you want to do a little double duty with it you can use a bit of it on your cheeks as well as lips to ad a flush of rose.
Finally the set includes two brushes, one for your eyes and one for your face. The interesting Undereye Brush has two sides one of which has pale bristles and the other regular brown ones. It’s as if they took two brushes and combined them into a single one. The brush is very thick and very full. That fullness and density allows it to buff out the BB Tinted Undereye Corrector to a super airbrushed appearance. Since the corrector is so very thick this is an idea brush for application and sheering the product out. Use the lighter side of the brush to apply the corrector and the darker side to buff it out. They also include a dual sided Complexion Brush. This has a small buffing brush on one side and a pointed foundation one on the other. Apply your Tarte BB Tinted Treatment on your face with the pointed side and blend it in with the flat head buffing side.
As you can see the set includes the perfect match up for a flawless yet simple makeup look. Those who prefer color might not like this set as it does not include blush or eyeshadow but in the upcoming December and March shipments that is redeemed when Tarte includes a palette in those sets but you can only get those sets if you sign up for Auto Ship! I think it’s an ideal set for some solid essential base products. It’s the type of kit that creates a really fast look in seconds and sometimes that’s exactly the look I want during a weekend brunch or when I’m running errands or hey, when I just don’t want a ton of makeup on my face.
The set will be on QVC.com for $59 and have a presentation on the QVC Channel starting September 24th.
Can’t wait?
