Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner Review & Swatches
REMIX!!!!! The Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner get a relaunch for the Holiday 2013 season peeps and they are packed full of gorgeous glitter. I personally eat glitter sprinkled on my corn flakes in the morning but most peeps reserve it for the Holiday season as we feel a little freer wearing shimmering shades during that special time of the year.
However…….as far as I’m concerned Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliners can be used any damn day you want for sparkly eye looks.
I think one of my first UD memories is probably owning an Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner. I was convinced that I couldn’t wear a smoky eye look without lining my lashes with a fine line of silver sparkly goodness that UD’s Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner provided.
Urban Decay decided to give Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliners a push for the Holiday season with a new look and two new shades. The liners are water based with a heavy dose of glittery goodness suspended in that clear liner base. I find you can multitask with these in a variety of ways so you aren’t left using them as a liner only but more on that layer.
The revamped formula features a cool new lightening bolt deco on the bottle as well as a shiny gunmetal cap with the UD logo. The same precise, thin tipped brush and glittery formula it’s still here. The glitter is suspended in a gel formula so it never separates…this is a totally true story as I own a shade for over ten years (I don’t use it anymore but it is still part of my collection) and it look as fresh as the day I purchased it.
I used to adore completing my looks with a thin layer across my upper lash line. It just adds some awesome sparkle to an eye look! But I also used to stroke the brush across my lashes to encrust them with a jewel-like layer of glitter! And finally you can use them as an overcoat on top of eyeshadow to add a bit of sparkle. The possibilities are endless and you aren’t limited to your eyes…use ’em to draw on your face for a Halloween look too! Once you apply they set rather quickly and don’t budget or flaky off into eyes. I found lining with glitter my hands are less shaking than with a liquid liner, go figure.
