China Glaze HoliGlaze 2013 Nail Polish Collection Review & Swatches
I am so DEEPLY impressed with the China Glaze HoliGlaze 2013 Nail Polish Collection that I might just somehow be converted into a nail girl. As you know I don’t really do polish posts but I’m trying hard to venture into the genre as some of you expressed an interest in seeing swatches of new collections.
Needless to say after trying the China Glaze HoliGlaze 2013 Nail Polish Collection I was all about shopping more of their shades! And don’t forget to enter to win the entire collection! I have five sets available to giveaway!
Loves this collection so much!
Take a peek!
The China Glaze HoliGlaze 2013 Nail Polish Collection consists of 12 core colors and a variety of gift sets as well.
Possibly my favorite colors in the collections were the polishes with Micro Glitter. These have a slightly textured finish and feel gritty to the touch but they lay and apply beautifully! Three applications lends perfect opaque color. The exception to the textured finish was Mingle with Kringle. This actually looks like liquid gold on. The color is stunning to say the least. These dry down a little dull so a clear top coat will give you a more glossy finish should you desire. When the micro glitter catches a certain light they sparkle beautifully!

The second formula I played around with was the glitters. These are basically pieces of smaller glitter and confetti suspended in a clear base. I had a little trouble with them as they take quite a bit of work to get a coverage so you have to be a bit patient and apply a few layers so you can the full on glitter experience. They have a bit of a thicker, runny consistency as well so be sure to swipe the brush on the inner bottle to thin out the polish. I’m unsure if you want to call it Micro Glitter or just confetti but Bells with Be Blinging is possibly my favorite shade here. This basically looks like glitter confetti was dusted on my nails! Gorgeous!

The foil finishes are some of the easier formulas to work with and the most beautiful. They have a nice glossy finish, provide fairly opaque color with two layers (three makes them pop), and have an easy to apply formula. These colors are both festive and easy to wear for daily looks as well! Just Be Claws is one of those festive shades of the season!
There’s Snow One Like You, So Blue Without You, Just Be Clause, Elfin’ Around, Santa Red My List
And finally there is one textured polish in this collection entitled There’s Snow One Like You (it’s swatched above with the glitters but my swatches does not do it justice). At first application I hated this shade. It’s very goopey and it reminded me of milk that went bad…! It kinda has a cottage cheese consistency. But after the dry down it is SO pretty! It actually has the typically gritty matte texture of the regular line of China Glaze Texture Polishes but they also included round confetti pieces so once the polish dries down your nails look like they were snowed on! So freaking fun! The chunky texture is a bit of a pain to work with but OH so worth it for the results at the end!
There’s Snow One Like You
I gotta admit the China Glaze HoliGlaze 2013 Nail Polish Collection was very fun to play with! If you’re a nail girl you’re bound to find plenty to love here!
