About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Well, crap. Take my money, Tarte, why don’tcha! Their eyeshadow formula has improved so much over the years. I love them!

I actually already ordered and received both this and the BE Nov TSV. I am SO impressed with the quality of the Tarte eyeshadows this year as last years TSV went back to QVC as was disappointed with the e/s pigmentation and wear. I feel like they really stepped it up this year with quality. I haven’t used this eye palette yet but did get the Ulta Tarte holiday set and it is AMAZEBALLS!! The blushes are great, the eyeshadows are fab – anyone is didn’t get it SHOULD along with this.

OH and by the way you can get this on AD with a second shipment in APRIL YIIIPPPPEEEE

Hello : ) I always see you great info. re: almost every piece of make-up I buy/own (and that is a lot of make-up!!!). You have the best site, and you seem to always have the TSV before it airs on QVC : ) Thank you for all of your info. & creativity you put into your videos, etc. You are fabulous!!Quick question please. I have the Tarte Holiday Palette from last year’s collections from both Sephora & QVC. I bough to gift, but my greedy self kept it all (except I did gift the palette of eye shadows from the QVC set. Although I have the Sephora palette which I just opened today! I HAVE SO MUCH MAKE-UP THAT I NEVER KNOW WHICH ONE TO USE..WHICH IS FUN : ) PLEASE TELL ME….how do U think this year’s shadows compare t last years shadows? I read a lot of reviews where girls/women though the Tarte Holiday 2012 shadows from “Carried Away Collection,” was “NOT PIGMENTED ENOUGH.” I just tried without primer,& noticed this was true. But its probably my fault for not wearing primer. I was just playing & too lazy to take the extra step to apply primer. Is the quality better this year as far as shadows? I don’t know if I should do a bow & go or keep this one : ) THNAK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!!! You are so talented & creative..love this latest video with the silver holiday nails! You entire web site blows me away every time I google an item, and you come up!!Thanks again : ) (Sorry for the novel, but I am just really impressed w your computer graphics, your creativity, AND KNOWLEDGE OF COSMETICS…AND OPIONIONS WHICH ARE ALWAYS SPOT ON!! You are fabulous!

Sorry for the typos in my previous question : ( BTW, I hope I didn’t sound confusing. I was referring to shadows I just tried from LAST year’s tarte Sephora Holiday Collection 2012 (called Carried Away, I believe?). I am hoping this years QVC tarte TSV Bow & GO shadows more pigmented? (I read that the shadows changed & are indeed more pigmented from a make-up artist I saw on line…but I was hoping to hear YOUR opinion. You understand my language! (COSMETICS!)…I AM OBSESSED! I am not sure if I should keep the palette I should receive today from QVC or gift it. I usually buy 2 or more, but I have to cut down….we need an extension on the house to fit my cosmetics!!My husband uses the guest b-room since I need the master bath plus I put cosmetics and skin care in a walk in closet…shelves and shelves…loaded with make-up. ( I am sure U can relate!). I feel greedy, but I do share : ) Thx

I didn’t do a video with silver holiday nails sorry. you might have mistaken me for someone else 🙂 I actually reviewed the shadows in the post. If you read through you’ll find my thoughts on the shadows. Thank you again so glad you enjoy Musings. You’ll also find links in this post that will show you the swatches from last’s year’s palette! Hope this helps!
