MAC Morning Rose Lipstick Review & Swatches

MAC Morning Rose Lipstick ($15) is one of four lipsticks launching with the MAC Magnetic Nudes Collection for Spring 2014.

MAC calls it a soft cooler rose and indeed, it is just that. It’s a very soft, delicate shade with a slight frost (that scared me but no worries it works).

MAC Morning Rose Lipsticks is indeed beautiful rose shade. It’s very soft and very delicate. I didn’t love the formula though! This is a Cremesheen but does have a hint of frost and dragged a good deal during application and felt a bit dry on my lips as well. I think a little clear gloss helps it along dramatically because I did feel it looked a bit patchy and uneven without.

I’m going to give a slight pass though since the color was so delightful! If you like soft roses this might be worth indulging in especially since it is so delightfully natural on lips!

    I like the color but I don’t like that you said it feels dry going on. I don’t like lipsticks that are like that. I guess that is why I normally wear lip gloss instead of lipsticks. What are your suggestions for lipsticks or lip glosses in the new Radiant Orchid color?

      I don’t really have any Radiant Orchid lip colors to recommend unfortunately…I don’t think I really own a single shade like that but I’m sure we’ll see plenty this Spring 🙂

    They came out in Australia today and I was just about to put my order through when I noticed the price difference. Lipsticks $36 and blushed $52. Even with the exchange rate as it is now that is almost double. No thanks MAC I don’t care how fabulous you think your stuff is.
