MAC Silver Dawn Extra Dimension Eyeshadow

Taupe lovers rejoice because MAC Silver Dawn Extra Dimension Eyeshadow ($19.50) is on the case! This delightful gunmetal taupe is available with the MAC Magnetic Nudes Collection that will be launching on Boxing Day (12/26).

Take a peek!

MAC Silver Dawn Extra Dimension Eyeshadow is a delightfully sultry gunmetal taupe. Applied dry it’s a perfect smoky taupe but wet it becomes a bit more silvery with a more dramatic liquid metal foiled finish. I tend to stay away from traditional black smoky eyes and rely on taupe to create a more wearable smoked out eye as taupe doesn’t accentuate my darker circles and finer lines and this is a beautiful shade to work such a look with!

The MAC Extra Dimension Eyeshadow is a nice, new take on MAC’s traditional Mineralize Collections. Visually the shadows are really pretty as they have a cool just poured liquid metal into an eyeshadow pot look.

This shade and most Extra Dimension Eyeshadows I’ve tried have a smooth creaminess with the blendability of a liquid and the application of a powder formula. MAC actually created them by blending liquids, powders, pearls, and creams and molding them into a cake formula. The finish has some sparkle but more metal than anything else. You can use them wet or dry and they produce an incredible foiling effect worn wet. They wear quite well wet but dry I’d suggest primer as color loses intensity and fades at around the four to five hour mark. I like the fact they have absolutely no fall out and if I want finger application is easy enough to do!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. no fall out? I’m in!! Great review. Oh and Ps. I saw the Garier new stuff at CVS yesterday but it was too expensive. The oil cleanser was $8.99 for a 4oz bottle. The blur was $17.49 for the tube. I pay $13 for softymo on Amazon for 8oz and I’m not spending that on the blur. I’ll wait for coupons/deals.
