Bobbi combines the elements of sparkle with semi-matte eyeshadows that are easy to apply and work. As you know I like shimmer and sparkle but aging eyes aren’t exactly a great ground for application when it comes to these finishes. This palette makes it easy to lay a solid base of color along with just the barest touch of sparkle on eyelids. Apply one of the semi-matte shades as a base and stop with a little of the sparkle for a beautiful, elegant eye look.

Both Nude and Dove Grey are solid essential shades with soft, satiny textures that blend easily. Lately Bobbi has been slightly missing the mark with her eyeshadow formula in palettes. I’ve run across a few dense, dry, and not so pigmented shades in palettes but so far these new palettes have proved excellent. This are a soft, creamy easy to blend shades with great pigment. The Sparkle shades are sheerer but still hold their own giving eyes a delicate sparkle with a hint of color. Ballet Pink is my favorite shade in the world! I have it on below with a very sheer layer of Nude Eyeshadow over my lid. Of course, I over did it slightly with my heavy hand but with a lighter touch you can get just the right amount of sophisticated sparkle on lids. I do get a bit of fall out with the Sparkle Eyeshadows so user beware.

There’s a warm palette in this collection that I recently adored and loved where as the Nude Eye Palette is more about cooler, crisper shades! Lighter skin ladies and lads might find it an easier palette to use but medium skin tones will also fine something to love in this shade selection!

This one is on counters now or grab it at Nordstrom.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Please please please don’t take this as personal critism but it looks like you have no makeup on your eyes in those pictures. That is my major problem with Bobbi Brown products No color payoff at all and I am the whitest white girl out there!! I quit buying Bobbi’s make up because the color payoff sucks!
