Lumene Bright Now Vitamin C BB Serum Review & Swatches

Lumene Bright Now Vitamin C BB Serum1

If you love Lumene BB Cream you might wish to indulge in the new Lumene Bright Now Vitamin C BB Serum ($22.49) to use in conjunction with it.

This new facial priming serum promises to instantly brighten skin while hydrating and minimizing the appearance of pores with a vitamin C infused formula to make your skin look beautifully bright and prepped for makeup.

Take a peek!

Lumene Bright Now Vitamin C BB Serum

Lumene Bright Now Vitamin C BB Serum is a very lightweight creamy facial primer that absorbs easily into skin. I have drier skin so I welcome to extra moisture this provides to prep my skin for makeup. According to the box it exfoliates gently to smooth away rougher skin while minimizing pores and maintaining a matte finish. I can’t say I experienced the mattifying abilities nor can I say it concealed the minor visible pores I have on my nose. It did however, create a very smooth dewy to the touch finish on my drier skin which allowed my BB Cream and foundation to apply with more ease.

It has a bright citrus scent and comes housed in an easy to use pump dispenser that distributes just the right amount of product. It is a little smaller at 1 oz in size for the over $20 price tag but a little goes a long way.

According to Lumene it instantly brightens skin but unfortunately I saw none of this. I got better results with Almay Smart Shade CC Luminous Primer in terms of easing of dullness and a brighter finish in my complexion. I think the formula is relying on light reflecting pigments to give the illusion of brightness but it didn’t quite work for me.

For me, I think Lumene Bright Now Vitamin C BB Serum is a beautiful hydrating primer to use prior to makeup application but that’s really all it does for me, hydrate. For extra moisture it’s great but if you’re purchasing in the hopes it’ll blur the appearance of pores, ease dullness, and possibly brighten, well, unfortunately this is sadly lacking in those benefits.

I like this a lot. I have no idea why it’s called “BB”, as it’s nothing like any other “BB” I’ve ever tried, but it is a great primer and/or night treatment.
