L’Oreal Liya’s Nude Colour Riche Lipstick Review & Swatches
L’Oreal Liya’s Nude Colour Riche Lipstick is another limited edition L’Oreal Lipstick that launched with the LOreal Collection Privee Colour Riche Lipstick Collection for Spring 2014.
L’Oreal Liya’s Nude Colour Riche Lipstick is a shade inspired by Ethiopian born model Liya Kebede and was created for deeper, darker skin tones. This is probably one of the more pigmented shades from the Collection Privee in my experience with the colors and will be most suitable for a warmer, deeper skin tone.
Take a peek!
I actually didn’t love this shade on myself…! It’s almost a duochrome, color switching shade that’s a chocolate-y purple. Gorgeous in the tube however, on my lips it’s a bit muddy.
On the upside the color is soft, smooth, and beautiful. I ran into a few shades from this collection that applied a little patchy and didn’t settle well on my drier lips. However, Liya’s Nude is perfect. It’s a buttery texture with an easy glide and an opaque finish with a slight almost metallic sheen. In a certain light it reflects purple. The color wears for around three and a half hours before showing some signs of fading. It does have the customary L’Oreal perfume-y lipstick flavor and fragrance.
I think the entire Collection Privee Collection shows surprising promise I just wish the formula on some of the colors wasn’t so inconsistent. Lucky enough Liya’s Nude has no issues! I wish I could have worn the shade but this one might be a touch outside my comfort zone but will make those who are a fan of brown based lipsticks very happy indeed.
The collection is available for a limited time at drugstores and each lipstick comes in limited edition black matte packaging featuring the autograph of the celebrity or model who inspired the shade in gold.
