When it comes to beauty on a budget I think the Sleek Makeup i-Divine Eyeshadow Palettes give you a nice bang for your buck. They include twelve shades of shadow in a slim, easy on the storage, easy to travel with black compact featuring a generous size mirror and a double ended sponge applicator for application. At $12 bucks per palette no one can deny these are a super cheap thrill especially since Sleek Makeup’s eyeshadows are typically formulated with a smooth velvety texture that’s heavy on the pigment.

Sleek Makeup Del Mar Volume 1 i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette is a funky selection of Summer shades that are subtly bright and playful. These are oddly textures as I can’t decide if they are more of a satin, semi-matte, or matte formula. One of the shades, Lounge Lover, is true to Sleek’s original eyeshadow formula with a creamy texture and a slightly frosty finish. The other shades are more of a combination satin matte texture. I find the colors soft and silky but slightly chalky when applied. The shades are very subtle and color has to be packed on considerably to achieve the best color pay off. A cream base or shadow helps to give them a better color pay off but not by much. They are the type of formula which blends color away as you apply so you’re left building and building and building during application. I felt the colors faded very quickly both with and without primer under them. It’s also difficult to get contrast and definition when shades are used together as they blend together in a muddy finish.
Unfortunately, the Sleek Makeup Del Mar Volume 1 i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette was disappointing for me. The colors are a bit too washed out and prove a hassle to build up and even when they are built up they are unimpressive. You might consider this one a purchase if you don’t mind brighter yet more subtly pigmented eyeshadows. Personally I expect more from Sleek Makeup and the more just isn’t showing up in the Del Mar i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette.
