Bare Minerals Swoon Blush Review & Swatches
Bare Minerals Swoon Blush is a shade that was released with the Bare Minerals True Romantic Collection for Spring 2014. I actually purchased this on a whim when I grabbed up the Bare Minerals The True Romantic Ready Eyeshadow Palette because I thought it would be a nice compliment to the quad.
I think it might be limited edition but it’s apparently permanent in the UK but don’t quote me. If you do love it after reading my review it is still available at QVC.com.
Let’s take a look!
Bare Minerals Swoon Blush comes housed in special edition packaging that features a mirrored rose gold topper. Recently, I complained a bit about the rubberized packaging on my the Nude Beach’s Ready Eyeshadow Palette and I expressed how sometimes the mirrored packaging was just as bad. But thinking about it now the mirrored compacts are least wipe down but are still a magnet for scratches and fingerprints none the less but I do think them the lesser evil when it comes to the standard rubber black packaging that’s very NARS-like which Bare Minerals uses on the permanent collection.

I actually don’t really love Swoon. It’s a soft, silky, and blends incredibly with a picture perfect finish that isn’t powdery. It wears for a solid six hours on my drier skin and shows a little fading at hour seven. The blush formula is superb but it always has been hasn’t it? I’ve tried some of the Bare Minerals Ready Blushes and they are ok but I think the loose formula is and always will be a fav of mine.
As I said I don’t really love Swoon. It reminds me of other shades I already have from Bare Minerals so it isn’t terrible unique. It’s kinda an off pink dusky peach that dulls out my collection. The finish is matte with a smoother satiny feel. It doesn’t cling to drier areas and looks smooth and perfect.
The formula wins out for sure but I think Swoon is a bit uneventful a shade so I’m not sure you really need to race out to buy it! There are so many other shades (like Fruit Cocktail!) that are fair nicer and more unique a purchase than this.
Do you own it?
