Urban Decay Mrs Mia Wallace Lipstick

Urban Decay Mrs. Mia Wallace Revolution Lipstick is likely my favorite shade of Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick outside of Gash (damn that’s an incredible red). And yes, Urban Decay Mrs. Mia Wallace Revolution Lipstick celebrates all good things Pulp Fiction as Urban Decay was inspired to recreate Mia’s understated yet very edge-y look from the film with this stunning deep blood red shade.

As a huge, massive, big, very large fan of not only Pulp Fiction but Quentin Tarantino I was quite excited to see Urban Decay created a collection to celebrate the cult that is Pulp Fiction.

Some might say Mia’s insane overdose scene was what really stood out in the film but for me it was the mystery of what Mia Wallace actually looked like so when Vincent went to pick her up for their “date” the first thing that caught my eye was her lipstick! And later on as she taps her glass and smokes her cigarette during dinner it’s hard not to be drawn to her blood red nails! It’s a funny thing about Mia because she was dressed like a bit of a sophisticated soccer mom in her starchy white men shirt but her edge-y bob and bangs combined with her blood red lips and nails screamed, “Don’t screw with me!”

And in fact Urban Decay Mrs Mia Wallace Revolution Lipstick definitely goes all out on the edge but remains a timeless and classic shade of dark red lipstick. This is richly pigmented with a nice shine but add a little clear gloss on top for the pop you see on my lips below. It was crazy pigmented on the first pass and just keeps the love coming with each layer I applied. It’s truly a gorgeous shade of red and has a comfortable easy to wear formula that will get you well into six hours of wear without a hiccup. It’s a little less slicker than some of the Revolution Lipsticks I own but isn’t matte or dry in the least and leans more towards a satiny shiny finish. It truly stays vibrant through the wear and as it fades it leaves a stain behind. I thought the shade was not only stunning but wore like a real champ.

I’ve heard the shade described as cooler but I think it leans a bit warmer on my lips and has a bit of a brick red to it. Needless to say it’ll likely pull differently depending the skin tone that wears it.

Urban Decay always impressed but sometimes they create and bring the wow factor to the table and for me I think the Mrs Mia Wallace Revolution Lipstick really stands out as one of those wow elements. It’s a gorgeous red that everyone should add to their stash if not because you love the color but for collector’s reasons too!

That looks really good on you. But just seeing the pic with the Snow White Fairest of Them All I really can’t tell the difference. You wear them both really well.

thanks 😀 yup that’s why I said in my review it’s almost a dupe for Mrs Mia Wallace 😀

  • Michou

What a STUNNING va va voom type color!!! I would buy this but I have FAR, FAAAAAAR too many reds in my collection at the moment. 😛

  • Samantha

The color looks gorgeous and I LOVE the black packaging (I really like seeing Urban Decay creating limited edition packaging for something like this like how MAC does for their collections). My question is, do you have the Revolution Lipstick in F-Bomb, and if so, how does this compare?

    • Isabella Muse

I agree, I failed to mention it, but did love they did a custom case for Mia! I’m not sure! I have the two but didn’t bother comparing to F-Bomb to be honest!

Hey Muse, I love the review for another out of the park Urban Decay lipstick. I must say however, the show was absolutely stolen by your beautiful necklace. It is beyond lovely!

  • fancie

This lipstick looks beautiful on you! I agree, it definitely has a classic feel with a little edge. I really like it!

I adore the color. I snagged it as soon as I can and it’s a wow shade. I was hesitant because I already own F-bomb and was afraid they would be too similar. One me F-bomb is a very bright blue based red while the Mia shade is much much deeper more like a slightly blackened balanced red. I have pale but quite warm toned skin. I wear a 3.0 in the naked skin foundation if that gives you a reference. The Mia on you is almost what F-bomb shows on me.

That color looks smashing on you by the way. You should snag a back up or two if you haven’t already. I know I’m planning on doing that for myself!

    • Isabella Muse

I agree Alison it really has the wow factor 😀 it seems warm to me which I’m happy about because blue based reds look clowny on me! I did!!!!!!! I got another one because I just wanted an unused one for my collection 😀 heheh!

OMG – I swore I was NOT buying anything (just got new wheels – yea!) but I think I MUST have this. To go with the car of course. 😉

      • Majick

Hi Muse, I thought I responded but I don’t see my comment. (at least on the computer I’m using today).
The color of my car is called Raven and is a black metallic. The interior however is black leather with RED stitching. yum…;-)
It’s quite an adjustment since I’ve been driving my old car for the past 14 years. I cried when I had to give her up.

        • Isabella Muse

you did 🙂 I just didn’t get a sec to reply sorry! 😀 it sounds lovely!!!!!!!!!!!!!! congrats! awwwww but now you have a beautiful new baby to love hehe!

  • Rina

Can’t wait to see this IRL. Is it close to any of the original UD lippies? How about MAC Malificent or Armani 402? So many beautiful reds but some are too similar. Thanks!

  • majick

The color is “Raven” (a black metallic). The interior is black leather with red stitching. Yum…
p.s. If it wasn’t black it would def be red. 😎
